@@BassxWR My thinking exactly, this guy could be a new driver and even if he is not there could be so many reasons why he was going slow. He could have a problem with the clutch or anything else. Maybe he even doesn't wanna accelerate fast. Why go and smash his mirror? In my opinion smashing someone's mirror for any reason is unacceptable. Everyone can make a mistake. I was watching some other videos where a car passed with a yellow light (which is perfectly legal) and the biker just accelerated as fast as he could so he could honk to him. Some people even honk/smash someone's mirror for changing a lane in front of them. If someone makes a mistake just tell them that they made a mistake and they will understand (except for some people that also think that they can't make mistakes). But even if the other driver is a jerk there is no need to smash their mirror.

Better to think one step further, "if you cant see the driver he cant see you". some times you might see his mirrors but he still cant see you, trucks have a big blindspot on the passanger side. Cabovers also have a blind spot in front at about 6 meter. i know because i had a Volvo v90 hiding there that i rear ended, i was at fault but still. Allways possition yourself so that the driver can see you and you him (if you are behind) and dont hug the passangerside of trucks for long.

We own a gas pipe line in NY. They cant just access it has to be business related. They arent allowed to just come in on their day off and joy walk. The gas company can even cut trees and branches if it is in the way of their access. Theres guidelines the power company has to follow. None of which include public access. There is usually a signed document with agreed upon rules (depending on utility and company). Whats allowed in one case is completely different in the next. The one common between all is that they are not public access. They had no trespassing signs up and worldwide that means stay off. Not a complicated topic on that behalf. ALL private land requires permission from the owner to access or its trespassing. Just because you ride it all the time doesnt mean youre not trespassing. Some people own property 50 plus miles (even another state) from where they live so they cant be around to tell you get off. Respect peoples property. They pay alot of money for punks to just invite themselves in without permission.

I over corrected, grabbed at the brake mid turn and low speed low sided. I was all pissy because she never stopped and I had a green turn light and she had a red. For a couple years i was hot every time I thought about that. I was pretty quickly able to recognize my mistakes leading to the drop but I couldn’t move past how it was her fault. Then one day I’m riding home from the direction she was coming from at about the same time of day and noticed that the turn lane she was in had a green light at the same time as the lane I was in that day...in the morning, that is not the case. It’s the only light in town that changes its sequence at different times in the day. It was never her fault. If I had been able to confront her that day I would have made a serious ass of myself and probably gave her a bad opinion of motorcyclists in general. It’s hard to let things go when you’re angry, but it’s often the correct thing to do.

Yes and no... He needs to realize the difference he is. People are not expecting his speed. Only one light at night, our eyes don't work that way. Hard to judge the speed/distance of someone on a bike. The person on the bike needs to realize this. "Drivers", of cars, don't mean to cut bikers off. it is just hard to judge. Everyone needs to be aware. But people on bikes really need to understand. Car on car collision is usually just damage to a car.. Example, if traffic is doing 20-25mph a biker can still pass between cars at the normal highway speed of 70-75mph and it's the car drivers responsibility to keep the bo2ker safe, the biker is not resposoble for any accident that occurred regardless of fault.

@@harmonturner2711 Doesnt matter. 1) If someone damages my property on purpose I have the right to defend it. 2) When someone threatens me, I have the right to defend myself. The biker both threatened the truck driver and damaged his truck. The biker shouldnt attack cars if he doesnt want to get hit by them. Then the truck driver didnt run him over or anything. He just pushed him off his bike, so he stops damaging his property. So in my opinion the truck drivers reaction was adequate.

Perfect example of escalation. So a truck makes a turn in front of you. So what. You saw it and avoided it. We all make mistakes. It's not like the guy was trying to hit you. Now you are going to take it up a notch. Brake his mirror. Sorry but you don't get to complain if now the truck drive also escalates things and takes you out. Play stupid games win stupid prizes.
