My uncle always made it clear that if we didn't have a helmet on we couldn't ride, plain and simple. Man broke his back at 23 in a slip and fall accident, he understood the importance of safety and how easily things could go wrong and change the course of your entire life.

The old guy that gave the helmet is a superdad. I raised my 2 sons, both had quads, dirt bikes, and both played on various sports teams. I found there was ALWAYS another kid in the neighbourhood or on the teams that could use the gear my boys grew out of. (Plus my boys learned how to discreetly offer the used gear, just to be sure not to offend or embarrass) We didn’t live in a rich area, but my wife had a decent paying government job and I owned my own construction business. So in a neighbourhood where kids like mine were the oddity because they had both parents still living together, some of the other families appreciated the assistance.

It depends. If someone is recording you having any sort of outburst and uploads it on youtube, it can go viral. Your employer can see it and you could get fired and get flamed online which isnt a big deal to some, but to others it is.

Like everyone else here I've got a lot of love and respect for that man at 5:00 but the kids also deserve a shout out for being so polite, respectful and appreciative. That whole interaction was 10/10. Those are some great people wherever that is 👍

Thank you so much for saying so! We live in south Louisiana and manners are taught at birth for the majority of people here. That man was super awesome how could you not respect him. At first we thought he was yelling at us for riding on the road, but it was because he cared and wanted us to be safe. The helmet was returned with some goodies. Stay safe! 🙂
