Matt getting deeper into the topic of anxiety has me feeling like "exactly. yes. YES. mhm. HE GETS IT." and i relate so much i kinda wanna cry bc the way he explains it is so much better than i ever could and it makes me feel so comfortable knowing he also understands the feeling that i (and others) feel

Don´t think you´re a lost cause or that the situation is never going to be better because it is! It was once and it will be again. And if you do find youself back at level 0 you try and do the little things that put u on level 1 before:) I believe in u

i really get what Matt ment with he would leave this episode not 100% sure with the advice he gave and i appreciate that because it means they truly wanna help people but as they said it's just not realistically possible because thats the job for professional people that get to know all the details but I'm 100% sure that the conversation that got started with these topics would still help someone and spark an idea or push them to change something which is amazing

as a 22 year old in my 4th year of college, i 100% agree. high school doesn't mean shit and i don't talk to any of those people anymore. not saying that's the same for everyone, but it's not the end of the world. focus on yourself and learn to priortize your own success. it's taken me awhile to learn that and a lot of struggles with mental health and depression, but i'm finally in a solid place in my life. enjoy the time when you're in high school and young, but don't make it a priority. only you can control your life

I love the triplets pod casts but I absolutely loved this pod because they explained everything so well and into detail. Not just Matt, not just nick or just Chris. They all individually mentioned and spoke about things they struggled with in life very well and didn’t talk over one another. They are all very well spoken too and I think when your talking about things as deep as they did in this it’s important to speak properly. All in all I loved this one

Their whole conversation about everything being different after high school is so true! Currently 3 years out of HS and sometimes I can’t even believe that I’m the same person that I was back then. It may seem like it’s a big deal at the time, but it’s really just a tiny blip of your life and then you have the whole future ahead of you. I hope this is helpful for some of the younger viewers here ❤ that’s something I wish someone told me when I was younger

I actually had to stop listening for a second when Matt said he felt like the words were on the tip of his tongue, as someone who writes somewhat seriously I just constantly feel like I have to document every moment of my existence, and recently I’ve been so unmotivated to write because I was starting to think my words wouldn’t ever reach someone else or affect them. I guess just listening to this pod I realized none of that really matters, because even just by trying to express yourself you can help yourself and others understand these experiences, hearing another perspective on the same kind of issues kind of helped me put them to peace a little. Basically there’s always someone out there who’s willing to listen, especially to the people asking about friendships, you will find the people who you feel comfortable around ❤️

Thank you for this comment, I personally didn’t send in an advice question but related strongly to the one about falling out with all of her friends since she was 6. A lot of the time I feel like I fell out with my friends over the silliest little misunderstandings to me but to my ex friends they just deemed me as a bad friend. So at 19 i now just expect to fizzle out of every friendship i make eventually because it happens every time, and I’ve started losing hope that i’ll ever have any friends in the future. 😢😔
@jocki_toosterman
@jocki_toosterman 7 ай бұрын
@@sashhhaa4874 friendships are honestly really stressful and i know it sounds cheesy but the right people come to you at the right time, everything they were saying abt this in the pod is so true. I know it's not really my place to say bc I can't really predict the future but I really do think even if it's later down the road you will find people who will fit for you, also it's so easy to be really picky over your friends but if you have a really good friendship sometimes there are going to be rough patches. (Honestly thank you for writing back to my comment that literally just made my day)

Guys, speaking as a depressed person with a very fickle mood, what used to be my dream is no longer. I dreamed of going to Japan, creating my own story, making a manga or anime, and even singing for this creation at some point. But writing and drawing are definitely not my strong suit. I wanted to be a singer, but I don't even like hearing my voice. I love music more than anything but I can't DO music. Maybe my thing is just love to listen. I kind of don't care about anything anymore. Last year, my dream was to go to London and meet an actor I like. Right now, I want to go to Boston and meet you guys. I think that in the end, maybe a normal life with good people like you around will be enough for me. Maybe just not feeling sad is my real dream. Love, perhaps is the answer. But I definitely want to see an NBA game in person. The detail is that I live in Brazil and I have no money. But I think it's okay. I kind of gave up on life. And that scares me, because I think no one should love someone who has already given up on life.

I like how you talked about anxiety in today's podcast. I also find helpful taking a deep breath, closing your eyes and try to figure out which emotion you are feeling right in the moment you feel uncomfortable and then looking for what made you feel that way is a way to start to make baby steps to improve anxiety. Sorry for my bad English, thanks guys 👋

I totally understand and relate to Matt about how anxiety has so many different subcategories. Social, financial, worrying about the future, family, big crowds, panic attacks, even having anxiety about your anxiety. It’s so hard to explain to people who haven’t experienced it. That is why people with anxiety tend to be empathetic.

I used to think like you guys when I was in school. I never had friends there and I always preferred to meet my "internet" friends, we met and went out together, we went to each other's houses, we had fun. Now that everyone has gone a different way, I feel very alone, and I'm starting to think that if I was at that time like I am today, I would try to make more friends in school. I know that school is an "insignificant" place for people who think like us, but in the end it all makes sense, because it's basically where we stay most of the time until adulthood arrives. Now I really miss finding good people to be friends with. And I am so hurt by my attempts. It seems like if I don't have a job or a course, I'll never have access to people again

Whoever said “9th grade will be the best year of your life” freaking lied, it has been torture and the amount of times I have WANTED to leave school or not show up because I was genuinely scared is insane, people at school (mine Atleast) make your life a living hell. Mainly when your cousins are the “popular football boys” and you are just there and evb comes up to you and is like “why can’t you be like hunter” and crap. The amount of times I have wanted to cry at school but didn’t want to seem weak (I was the “happy friend and I still am). I hope everyone had a better year than me.

Hopefully one day, I become a professional chef and become as famous as you guys😂
