Who in the world can flip a sample better than Dilla? It doesn't matter who your favorite producer is. I think I can objectively say that nobody has chopped and flipped samples more intricately than Dilla.

@xTHURMANxMURMANx 'Donuts', 'The Shining', 'Ruff Draft', 'Jay loves Japan', 'Jay Stay paid', 'Dillanthology' 1,2 & 3 (they cover his own tracks, his work as a producer and his remixes), and as vomisahifi90 mentioned 'Welcome to Detroit' and 'Champion Sound' (with Madlib). Worth checking out Slum Village as well. I nearly envy you discovering Dilla for the first time-you've sooo much great music ahead of you! :)

Due to Dilla's debt to the government, the family receives no income from projects. Dilla's children are being supported by the social security their mothers have drawn Likewise, Mrs. Yancey is also still paying off Dilla's medical bills that she helped finance, leaving her also in tremendous debt. She still lives in the same Detroit ghetto, is still a daycare worker at Conant Gardens and also suffers from lupus, the same disease which killed Dilla.

@nc86prod I get what you're saying as well. It's really a shame people should check out Madlib some more. Everywhere I go I see Dilla produced all Jaylib - Champion Sound tracks, while Madlib did a lot of the tracks on that album. The Official is crazy! Dilla has crazy soul samples. People also forget Nujabes (Rest in Peace). He was one of the greatest in my opinion. Check him out if you don't know him yet.

@rohnveecy for sure bro, that's real talk, especially when dilla mentioned Pete Rock as his biggest influence, but here's the thing. As far as hip hop producers go. Pete Rock is my favorite. However. like I said in my post, not even Rock chops and flips a sample as complex as dilla did. That's all I was saying broham.
