Haha. Make sure you want a FR guitar. I don’t think I’ll ever buy another FR again. I don’t use it a lot and it’s such a pain in the butt to restring compared to hard tail guitars. Keep shredding 🤘🤘

@@StusWorld Its gets better with time. Unless changes in tuning. Also restringing happens like twice a year with good gear. Also if u add whammy for dime squeals they are longer.

Floyd rose bridge. There are a lot of downsides. I find there's more unwanted string reverberation. It really tests your muting. And you can bend the notes out of tune if you palm mute with too much pressure. I find once the new strings are stretched, the tuning isn't a problem. Restringing is a bit more work, and can be annoying. I've seen a few things that modern, non-locking nut tremolo bridges with locking tuners can take the same amount of abuse as an FR. Not sure they have the same range of movement but come with fewer downsides. Could be worth a look. But I find I play FR guitars more than anything else, so I'm pretty used to it by now.

Minor Non-Pro tip: If you achieve enough slack in the string while the bar is dumped then it will naturally start to vibrate as the tension is restored so you can actually get away with just a bar dump without the flick.

Let me explain the why? on the wah pedal, with the toe down, it elevates the level of sustain on the note, if you crank up the reverb and add a touch of delay, the mythical 2nd fret harmonic that you hear at the very end of Cemetery Gates, it sings in the most angelic fashion imaginable. without the way and such, you can hit the note, but getting it to last more than a second or two really isn't realistic.

One thing Dime did he was using a wah pedal. I don't think alot of people knew that.

Very true! Depress the wah pedal all the way for the high range and watch it go! He would also have his guitar tech shut off the noise gate to get the most length out of it. Watch it go! 🤘

He was also busted or it was learned he was using a wah stomped on for insane sustain!

Hey. Hey you. Quit tellin me to flick off lol. Also little know fact the REAL trick to this is to click on your wah pedal. In the OG dime tutorial you can hear him click it on and add a tiny bit of wah. Trust me look it up on KZbin. There are videos out there proving it

Lol. Gotta get those flick offs down! I do know about the wah but I wanted to focus on the actual technique itself. I remember when that video came out almost 20 years ago for….young guitar? Something like that. I’ll be covering that part when I do my review of the Dimebag wah that I finally bought. Getcha pull! Now flick off!! Lol. 🤘

Yo, no you dont need to float your tremelo, the bar pushes down so if you just dive hit a harmonic then you can raise the bar all you want. I can literally do this with my strat

Now that’s a real guitar! Their JS series is just dumb. Good guitars but the licensed Floyd rose is just pathetic. It’s crap. I got sick of mine. It’s usable, you just can’t beat it. It’ll go out of tune or raise higher in tune. It’s pretty annoying
@StusWorld

Yeah. The JS series definitely comes with a compromise in the bridge. It’s a great beginner/budget guitar but I mentioned in my JS review that the bridge is a concern. I even made a “torture test” video on the licensed FR just to demonstrate that it will slip, but you already know that. Haha.

Stu's World I did get mine to stay in tune actually when I had it. It came with 3 springs, I put one more in it so it had 4. I adjusted the springs and I the bridge height and messed around with the tuning trying to get the guitar to hold tuning stability. I had to do so much crap to get it to maintain stability. So it stayed in tune. But if I used the bridge too hard (pushing it down all the way and shaking the shit outa it)... I couldn’t bend the bridge backwards in standard tuning. Literally. The bridge worked good in standard tuning, doing dive bombs and ascends and all that, but I was afraid that I’d break a string on it if I pull the bridge back to do some Dimebag stuff in standard tuning. I broke strings on it before doing that. The bridge works good in lower tuning actually. I could get full use of it... but yeah it goes out of tune if abused. I did get it to work good though, by adding that extra spring and tuning it and adjusting stuff. It just can’t take hard abuse like the original. The original is so damn good. Thing is a blast

@@JacksonGuitarsPlayer03 I was curious if you stretch your new strings after you put them on? (takes about 15-20 minutes) I know a lot of experienced players don't do this and just let them stretch thru normal playing that can several months
@JacksonGuitarsPlayer03
@JacksonGuitarsPlayer03 4 жыл бұрын
Heavy Metal yeah I stretch em out. I’ll take em out then stretch them hard by pulling each end. Then I’ll string them onto the Floyd Rose. Get it all set up then pull the trem back and forth for few minutes to stretch strings more then I’ll play it. Lol. About this video here, I used to own a Jackson JS32 that has the crappy cheap Floyd rose licensed. Just a horrible bridge. I only recommend the original Floyd rose. All my Floyd rose guitars are the original
