You say your English is bad but it is very much better than my German. I never did any German classes but think I largely understand your words above. French is OK however 😊🇦🇺

was ist ein prototyp
@tressteleg13 жыл бұрын
When a new type of tram or train is planned, sometimes one or two are built first and tested to see whether any changes should be made before a big order is placed. Those test vehicles are often called “prototypes”.

Great movie, thank You ! - Who remembers these sticky, red (some blue) faux leather seats in the GT4 ?! - Especially in summer...

Thank you for sharing this. It's a shame that I didn't ride the DB class 420 (S Bahn) in Stuttgart at the time. In Frankfurt they also used DB class 420s
@tressteleg12 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Stuttgart was my favourite German Tramway as it was the most interesting with all the hills which created the need for the interesting GT4 trams. While the S Bahn is an important part of public transport, those trains were of no particular interest to me.

I came across Stuttgarter Historische Straßenbahnen's blog and they're on their way of making the DT8 prototypes functional (at least in a static form, I suppose) they made two doors of the 3006 functional, also the lights and headlamps, and other stuff. shb-ev.com/category/werkstatt/3006/

Good news. Hopefully one-day these pioneering cars will be able to run again on special occasions.

Seltsamer Eindruck. Als wäre die Zeit stehengeblieben.

Danke. Haben-sie auch gesehen “Stuttgart Trams 1975 and 1981”?
@Miquel-ew1nw3 жыл бұрын
@chrishimmelmann3 жыл бұрын
