King Sun dissed Death Row. He didn’t say Pac’s name in that one but he was still referenced in it. Pac heard it and dissed him back. New York really did have the best rappers in the 90s. It was the lyrics, style, rhyming, words used, technique, slang, skill, allegories, metaphors, etc. It just seems as if New York was more advanced when it came to rap than other regions.
@MrHowse-rt5bo
@MrHowse-rt5bo Жыл бұрын
@@universalconquest4447 Please stop it. “The Chronic” took rap to another level. I’ve Cube’s “AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted” is better than 99.9 % of 90s rap albums. Snoops “Doggystyle”changed HipHop; and it also moved more units in its first week than just about any rap album ever. So, your interest in certain types of “lyrics, style, rhyming, words used, technique, slang, skill, allegories, methaphors, etc.” are based on personal perspective and preference. In so many cases, with NewYork natives in particular, it’s straight bias.

Everyone had fire verses on Reservoir Dogs. But the best will forever be Jay’s in my opinion. It’s called subliminal shots. The Lox did that when they were going at Jay for stealing their songs when Beanie came in Jay’s defense and they did it to 50 Cent when he was going at them and of course Jay-Z is known to take shots at everyone subliminally on his songs but he sometimes makes direct disses which leads to him getting brutally murdered on diss tracks.

@@willforeverpubg4235 To be honest most of the artists he dissed destroyed him. Nas of course with Ether, Cam’ron did with You Gotta Love It, Beanie Sigel with Average Cat, Jim Jones with Harlem, Game with My Bitch, 50 Cent with Be A Gentleman, 2Pac with All Out, Mobb Deep with Crawlin’, and The Lox with their Fiesta (Freestyle). Jay has some good diss tracks but most of them are weak, inferior and aren’t as hard or memorable other than Takeover and Blueprint 2. He never even responded to these people. So he pretty much lost the majority of his beefs but to his defense, he isn’t really a battle rapper.

@@dmercy8477uldn’t considered all of those destroying Jay. Definitely not crawling from Mobb Deep. Dope record but it wasn’t enough to combat takeover. Prodigy was never the same after Takeover. You would’ve been better off naming Prodigy’s Keep it thoro. Neither did My Bitch from The Game. You gotta love it is debatable considering the fact that Jay went hard at Cam and Dame with Dig a hole. Never heard the 50 diss and if I did I didn’t know that was about Jay. Jay never dissed Pac on wax. He dissed him at a couple shows but he never recorded a Pac diss. Had no idea Harlem was even a Jay diss but I wouldn’t call that destroying him either. Yea you got a few reaches in there my man. And this is coming from somebody that’s more of a Nas fan lol

I don’t know why they waited 15 years to drop another lox album after we are the streets. They should of made at least 2 more lox albums between 2000 and 2005. The first 2 albums was classics. Music changed after 05 and the south took over.
