How to make a Cowl|Draped Kaftan with sleeves:

This is a trendy Cowl Kaftan tutorial
Welcome to my channel! This kaftan is trendy , chic and super flattering.
It is a must have for every lady, all age and shape appropriate!
For this Kaftan dress tutorial I used 4 yards of silk adire fabric. Fold into four using your full dress length. I used 60 inches +1 .
For the neckline i measured 4.5x4 inches. Then shoulder I marked 8.5 inches , them on the same shoulder stretch i used 8.5 inches for armhole.
To achieve the cowl effect I measure 37 inches to the knee from the top of block and from that point to the bottom I used 12.5 inches for the width which spread to 14.5 at the hem for ease of movement.
So you start to curve from the knee outwards all the way to the armhole of the folded fabric.
Next you want to cut your sleeves using your sleeve measurements ( I used 16 inches round sleeve and 20 inches for the length)
Start sewing by adding the sleeves then stitching the sleeves together all the way to the sides to the bottom of the dress using 0.5 inches seam allowance.
Use bias binding for the neckline and finish the hem nicely.
