Allana!! Don’t give up on the bangs. They’re so gorgeous! So the direction in which you rolled your bangs today was good- that’s even how Sabrina Carpenter’s hair stylist does them! The key is to not roll them tight to the root, because that will make it like a cow lick, which is what happened to you today. Don’t let them sit too long, because that can also create the cow lick and too-strong curl. And then the thing is you have to work with them after you unroll them. You’ll want to play with them for a minute to push them away from your face, run your fingers through them and add a little texturizing spray or dry shampoo to help them stay in place and not get oily from your face. Agreed with other comments. I blow dry (use the brush on my Dyson airwrap) and pin mine the opposite direction (away from your face not inwards) to what you did at the start of this and it works every time. Lots of great KZbin tutorials. I believe in you, you’ve got this!! ❤️‍🔥

Hi Allana! You should use a bigger roller and when you blow-dry your bangs hold it 90° and with tension away from your face. Then when you’re done setting it, use a clip to hold the middle part together. Until before you need to go. I love these vibes on you! I’m loving the upgraded cropped denim look with your loafers, I absolutely agree with you, I think that’s such a flattering look on you! Also I’ve had curtain bangs forever and I think the key is a small metal styling round brush! I style mine with a kind of 70s swoop back vibe. When wet, first hold the brush under the bangs for literally 2 seconds under the dryer, to give a SLIGHT curl, then take the brush and grab each side of the bang curling back in the direction you want, and blow dry them that way. It will give you that perfected 70s curtain bang!

As someone who just recently gotten bangs like yours here’s what I do/helps - get a medium round brush and dry your bangs forward, get a smaller roller for your bangs and roll it backwards instead of forward (like in the video). They might look a bit crazy at first but they fall and settle quickly. If you’re still not happy with them and want them to look less puffy you can go with the round brush and hairdryer and guide them to each side.

When I couldn't style my hair I went to my hairstylist (by the way he has been my hairstylist for 50 years) and asked him to teach me how to style my hair. He took the time to teach me exactly how I should do it and why and since then I always have been styling my hair with no trouble at all. Sometimes we have hair going different directions in our forehead so you have to blow dry your hair starting with your bangs first so that your hair won't dry and it will be easier to tame them. Style with your hairdryer on top and brush your bangs the opposite direction then do the same on the other side... then get a round hairbrush and brush them forward ... do this as many times as you feel your banks are dry ... then grab your bangs turning the brush upward with the hairdryer upfront ... I would gladly email you a video showing exactly how to do it. 😅

For the bangs, you need a round brush and a blow dryer and you switch the direction back and forth to sort of confuse the roots and get use much volume as possible and then maybe just experiment with which direction you want the last blow to be to get the effect you want! (((((this is from someone with a similar hair texture that also struggles greatly with hair but i do feel like thats the one that worked for me after my hair stylist taught me!)))

Bangs: with an air dryer facing your face first blow all the bangs to one direction (from the opposite direction) and then repeat with the other side. Option B use some crease less clips when hair style kind of wet and pin it to your sides and another clip vertically in the hairline

Allaaannaaaa I too have the little curtain bangs and also have a bit of a front cowlick. What I do is two rollers, one for each side, and roll away from my face on a slight downward diagonal. That ensures I get that swoop vs a curl and that my cowlick is accounted for. I also sleep with them pinned back in their swooped position so they stay like that overnight. Maybe try this out!

As a hairdresser here’s my advice for the bangs: Use a slightly smaller roller, especially because your hair tends to fall a bit more straight If the one isn’t working, use two rollers, one on each side of your head slightly diagonal. Put the hair underneath the roller with this method

You need a thermal brush for your bangs (and hair in general!). Get the one by Mane which is by Jen Atkin. I’ve had long bangs foreverrrr and I use my flat iron to bend them back or a thermal brush. Goodluck!!

Take a paddle brush and brush your bangs from side to side as you blow your hair from the top

Try turning the roller the other way, so the bangs go away from your face. You could also do the two roller method for the bangs: smaller rollers, part the bangs in two layers, one that is rolled away from the bangs and the other that is rolled inwards like now. You look a lil cray cray, but it'll give you that sweep away from the face, while also getting the volume in the front. Best, someone who has had curtainbangs for many many years😅

So, it looks like you actually rolled your bangs the same way again, which creates that sort of 80s look. You need to put the roller on top of the hair, pull down towards the ends and roll BACK. It’s ok to roll the way you did for the sides, but the part area always goes forward, over, and back (if that makes sense). Check out roller set pattern images for which direction to place them for what you are going for (they have little arrows).
