Your hair is gorgeous! I wish I could do praying hands on my hair for that long and even rake gel in but my hair is long and thin and when I do praying hands there are no curls whatsoever until I scrunch them back in. After 3 years of thinking I was a curly girl, I now know I’m a wavy girl and raking is a no no!

Hi Laura, What's the purpose of the raking ? And the smooth ? I also want to use my denman brush but i dont know when. Before or after the rake and shake? Any advise ? Thanks a lot

Cynthia Parianen raking is used to apply and distribute the product through the hair and alternatively, you can use your denman brush to distribute your products as well. Smoothing helps to pretty much smooth the hair shaft/cuticles down which can help with frizz and it also can help to form curl clumps. You can try raking your products in, then use the denman brush to distribute the products more evenly, and then rake and shake or scrunch the hair to encourage the curls.

I'm not sure what I used here. 😢 But I like to co wash with many conditioners. I love Giovanni ones. Any of the 2chic conditioners. The echo chic line conditioners too. NYMN conditioners. The purple or yellow
