Turning off easy/auto-swing also allows you to web-zip, which you can't do with it turned on. Web-zipping happens when you aim your web-swing at a wall or floor at head-level or below. Doing this makes Spidey/Venom pull themselves extremely fast towards the target location. This is especially important if you want to be good at Spider-Man, as combining this with bunny hops let's him move faster than any other character in the game.

I think sensitivity change is normal, subtitles and maybe fix the screen width is normal. Going past that may seem fine but that’s when you begin to drift towards becoming a nerdy incel who is sad he doesn’t get laid, probably blames it on women but he is studying settings instead of meeting anyone to ask out on a date. Don’t get into detailed settings tweaking, not even once

DUDE, this web swinging setting makes it so much better, it was the first thing I noticed when playing him, its like so its just shoots wherever it wants and hopefully in a good spot but usually not?! Thanks for this!

now like spiderman you can webzip too (havent finished the video, no clue if he mentions it) basically if you web something not far enough to swing it wil launch you to that point. now as far as i tested venom cant cancel this animation but spiderman can if you are talking about spidey and not venom. you can just right click to cancel the webzip landing animation and you can act immediately meaning you can bunny hop for really good speed in areas that web swinging is harder as well as you can attack right after

The wall climb direction is sometimes better on "Advance Vertically Upwards" as you can see behind you if someone's after you

The worst part about Spider-Man's Easy Swing is that if it's turned on, it basically locks you out of another functionality of the Web Swing: Web Zips. If you're in the air and need to get to a point quick, you can press the Swing button on a flat surface and it will zip you down to it. Insanely useful for when you need to dive in for an attack or when you want to get down quicker

For Spider-Man, I prefer to have Hold to Wall Crawl on but off for Venom. Spider-Man needs to move really fast and I need him to respond when I stop hitting buttons. Venom can be a bit slower and methodical with his crawling. Plus I can better scope out people to dive while on the wall as Venom. Both have Hold to Swing on.

If you play hulk I say turn off his hold space to leap. It instead turns a quick space press into a charge bar that you can see so that you can time and aim more accurately to get out of dodge and can actually chase people

I run Captain America with sprint locked as well, but put the shield on hold to raise. It allows me to switch between defense and offense faster.

Easy swing is probably most useful for console. The way it works is it connects you to whatever is available to take you the direction you're aiming as you press the button. It has its uses but it definitely feels better once you're skilled enough to just aim your web swings where you need to.

On down side with easy swing is if your in air and aming near floor it will go for wall or way higher up making you land not where you want to

To be clear, I'm not saying easy swing is better than doing it yourself. Just that this is a hero shooters meant to have heroes that are easier to use so the game is more accessible. My gf has been loving playing Jeff the land shark and it's easy to see why, he's fun and easy.

i like easy swing cuz it saves time from aiming when im trying to disengage. i feel like doing it manually is more important on Ball, less so on venom. idk about spidey

As much as I know Spidey is worse with easy swing on, as a console player, I perform much much better with it on. My accuracy with web clusters are easier to land, meaning I’m getting more kills. It’s just too much aiming up and down in a short period of time. I turned it off on Venom tho. Considering he only has one web, it’s much more important to use it well. The CD on spidey’s are so short, most of the time, one bad web here and there isn’t that big a deal. The web zip not being enabled on easy swing is huge tho. Ive 100% died a few times in places I wouldn’t have if I could zip, but it still isn’t enough to make him harder to play.

I think the only one that’s weird for me is the wall crawling. I like it with the wsad control because it’s easier to stop and start. I get the jump on fools a lot with spiderman that way

Depending on the map and situation, the Spider-Man auto swing setting could be a lot better to get out of sticky situations because he’s so squishy that 1s = life or death and just like you failed a few attempts in this video the same can and will happen at the worst moments

as you get used to the range of his webswing shot, being able to choose what you swing off of quickly only gets better and better for the spidey player

I wish there was a hybrid between the two settings for wall climb. On controller, the advance towards crosshair feels a bit odd to me. I wish "up" would advance toward crosshairs, but still give side to side controls to deviate from that.

In Venom, I don’t think it’s that black and white of a change. Easy swing is way better for open spaces, mainly in consoles since you won’t have the sensibility to instantly grab a good platform. It makes your escape much more consistent, even if it worsens the landing.

I disagree tbh it's the only one I switched u can't web straight ahead of you which is nice to close distance quickly and alot of times I want to connect to a part of a bridge to swing under I like being able to pick where and how I swing. Xbox player btw so to me it's night and day 🤷

I’d argue some of these settings should still be on if you are on console… cus if I need to point where I want the web to go the. That’s gonna not allow me to swing and shoot at the same time like I’ve been doing. I’ll test it myself soon but I’m not sure

Yeah the custom keybinds NEVER stay saved for me. Every time I load into a match, my controls are bugged. What's weird is that it doesn't forget ALL the settings, only some. So, for example, I changed my controls on Scarlet Witch to match my controls for Echo on OW. I have my jump on L2 and the fade ability on L1. But I'll load in and L2 will be both my jump AND my "missile" long range attack. It's so frustrating.
