Maneuverability is nothing in modern jet combat. Imagine not being able to lock an f-35 well within its effective missile range and your pilot who really can't sustain 9-10gs trying to dodge a missile capable of pulling 50+gs. Not only that but the f-35s suite of electronics and pilot integrations allow for much more combat situational awareness. The f-35 is so damn practical that everyone wants one. The su-57 while being cool looking and having some modern avionics doesn't actually stand out as a modern aircraft or a particularly stealthy one. Russia doesn't have the gdp to develop what the West has. There is a reason we invent the threat and Russia has to counter it. If it stinks like shit it's probably shit and Russian media benefits when people think that they have something special. In a classic dogfight merge fat Amy is losing all day and the su-57 with win with is superior maneuverability. Thing is... Merges and dogfights rarely/neeeeever happen in this age. I am no expert btw just an aviation enthusiast.
