This. This is what I'd like to see, detailed but not overkill. Design is still tame and modest with no unnecessary sharp pointy parts here and there, faithful to how a gp02 should look, modernized to today's standards. While I am still thinking that the motors are deemed unecessary (personal preference), the rest of the kit is definitely a threat level to bandai's laziness. Price is subjective, but for a kit like this, it's definitely worth the bucks you spent. Really glad I jumped the gun to preorder. Go get 'em solomon, amaze us with your next project. I'll be supporting as long as the engineering and the quality is to be kept consistently.

very much this! alot of the 3rd party kits have gone the way of the Eclipse Gundam with the spikes and dramatic lines lol. Hopefully Solomon could give us more of the GP series (would kill for a GP00!)

@@teknonaught consider me an oldie but I will never get how a battle robot would look like a mechanized hedgehog with spikes all around it. I like it to look real, heavy, and tactical. Oh please, I would love to see some updated stardust kits. If I can ask for something nuts, I want paptimus' titania. Idk who's going to step up to realize that, but I'll wait

they provided dummy parts to fill in the blanks if u didnt want to use the motors 9:47. i do feel that the pins are too long. some dude with clumsy fingers are going to get the pins bent for sure

@@razrafz yup, totally get what you refer to, as I saw the whole vid myself but what I actually meant is the design inclusion of the motor unit. I believe that if they don't add the motor gimmick, price would be lower and affordable (for some people the price still matter, and I can't consider this one 'cheap' either). What I know is that the electronics would degrade overtime, and people like me just display the finished kit in a fixed pose and rarely plays with it. If some customizers/builders really want to add lighting and motor gimmicks, I think they would do a more mindblowing work than the included ones. But on the positive side (as there is no negatives for this kit and this is just purely my personal opinion), maybe solomon just wanted to give an easy access to motorized gimmicks, as it's rarely found on prebuilt kits and not easy to make oneself. Props to them for the work.

Absolutely crazy how bandai has dropped the ball on the stardust MS for the last few decades. These guys showed what you can do with a dedicated team at a fraction of bandai's resources, and they did it damn well, its about time the gunpla market got some competition. I hope they stick around for a long while

GP02A is my favorite Gundam ever. It started it all when I first saw it in store, 1999. But I was a kid back then, no money. Bandai never released 2.0, so I managed to scoop this yesterday without second thoughts. Let's hope Solomon can continue with GP01 & GP03.

RX-78GP02A is one of those cool mecha (like MS-18E Kämpfer) that never seem to get the MG 2.0 treatment. Well, here is Solomon to the rescue; they decided to make an MGEX version! I hope they'll never get quashed like Dragon Momoko. I already have this on pre-order, can't wait for their next projects.

That's what happens when your company has the drive to innovate and compete, doesn't get lazy, and doesn't have to cut corners to constantly make *even more money* than the year before to make shareholders happy. Engineers work on things they WANT to work on, and there is no demand-from-the-top pushing them to cut corners at every turn to make deadlines or margins. And as a result, they do better work overall.

There is no way Bandai would spend the money or effort to make a PG/MGEX grade of GP02, so fans of GP02 should be grateful for this even if it is not licensed.

Yes, according to others, the plastic is pretty fragile compared to Bandai’s. So some of them may be broken due to the transportation
