I went to see FAMU vs Southern in a game played at Atlanta Stadium in January 1977. I think it was called the "Freedom Bowl". Anyway, I sat on the Southern side so I could hear my favorite band, FAMU. After hearing Southern and listening to Dr. Greggs talk "smack" the entire game, I realized I was rooting for the wrong band. I've been a fan of the "jukebox" ever since. The arrangement on this song is so good, it gives me chills. I'm not sure there's another band that could touch it.

LOL...the amazing thing is Su's tempo is no where near the original version (kool and the gang) and they(su) mangaged to keep it so clean and clear...the original is very relaxed...but scary good like u said...

I take my hat off to Mr. Haymer... The brother is bad. He will for sure go down in history as one of the greatest arrangers in the HBCU. Hes still young also. Theres no telling what the future will look like for this brother. Good Work SU!!!
