Could you use this method like this to reverse a cell hijacking or jailbreak? Because someone managed to remotely turn my device into a paperweight basically and I don’t have money to replace this phone and it’s not even fully paid off yet and my provider won’t do anything to help me. Mine said eligible for unlock then i put in my info and it just keeps spinning me back to the check if im eligible part. doesnt give me a code or say that anyone on their end is going to unlock it. any idea whats going on in my case? I did do the unlock request with a sim thats already activated from one of those vortex tablets that come with a year of service but I don't see why it would matter. both the tcl a3 i bought and the vortex tablet came from different people too and the tcl is a $40 walmart TracFone and the vortex is who knows what service provider,i bought that strictly to use on wifi. thanks

Maybe if you are unlocking a phone that you never used (because it has no assigned number) you are supposed to root it. Rooting refers to a programming type thing that gives you root access (and now you can do software updates you never though possible) Idk, just saying. I'm trying to root android tablet though
