As something which is about music it would be great to have a tracklist of the music used in this...

In 2004-2005, I paid 160$ at the door. Now, my understanding is that so many people want to attend, tickets are now selling at 400$ for the five days, it might still be worth it, but all the tickets are gone in pre sold credit card transactions, leaving me out of the loop, cause I got bad credit.

well your do realize that you can have a card that you can purchase stuff online with that isn't exactly using credit. CIBC, RBC's cards just use the balance of your account as the money used to pay for items using the card for online purchases. No credit needed just money in your bank.

After an hour and a half online trying to find out what the Bass Music sound actually sounds like, I'm still at a loss. Even after volunteering at Bass Coast in 2016, I still have no clue (I'm an Ontario boy, forgive me!). It feels like a nebulous umbrella term to describe a subset of electronic music without clearly defined elements except for the fact that bass ties it all together. Can someone post a link on the comment thread for some specific, if not EXPLICIT examples of Bass Music (without interviews!)? I was hoping this film would help clarify what Bass Music actually sounds like, but it hasn't helped.

in my eyes US and Canada bass music is related mostly only to hip hop and in the UK is related to jungle dub techno hip hop and rave culture in general

I'm really intertwined with the Seattle scene. A little bit the vancouver one as well, and this really doesn't reflect what's going on. It's an ultra niche scene, especially in vancouver. The hardstyle events Solid throws pull more than these shitty local dub shows. I'll keep an open mind until part 2 but this is the shit that gets 50 accepted invites and 6 people show up and they're usually the Djs girlfriends.

+Dropdabrickonyotoes This is "sub culture," not "subculture." Hardstyle does not focus on sub-frequencies in any serious capacity. Also you've clearly never been to any of these shows.

LOl Bass music isn't going anywhere, give it a few more years and it'll be something new, just like proper electronic music was replaced but EDM in Vancouver night clubs. What's really funny about Bass Music is that we use to blast in our cars back in the late 80's and early 90's. It was called hip hop and use to play tapes/cd's like this kzbin.info/www/bejne/kHKZlIpsm5eqfK8 There use to be CD bass music cd's made just for car stereos and bass. Also those early 90's clothes like tight pants, cut off tight shorts and pastel pattern tank tops, yes we left them there for a reason. The only "Bass" music that will out live them all is Jungle/DnB

There seems to be more emphasis on 'bass music' being more of a Social Scene than a musical movement or breakthrough. After nearly eight minutes of watching this I'm still at a loss as to what 'bass music' sounds like... So WTF is it?!?

Some riveting insights here. No actually, a f'n bore whole thing. Give me something else, not this self-jerking about some label or a scene thats tied to geographical location that nobody knows or cares about.

Kina lame. Every time you need to compare yourself to "the UK" means you've got no identity of your own, you're insecure to the point of being easily dismissed. And rightly so. Too bad, koz there was a real, indigenous Vancouver underground music scene back in the 70's and 80s. In one thing they're correct though, but are too cowardly to spell it out: kurupt politicians sold out the city to Hong Kong millionaires thus marginalizing indigenous Vancouverites, driving them into poverty, right out of the city, or into a basic, second-class citizen survival mode.
