One day, a youth named Akina Myodo from Kanazawa of Kaga obtains a mysterious card after experiencing a vision of planet Cray. That card is proof that he has been chosen as the Fated One of Miracles, and an invitation to the "Fated Clash", where the last one standing can have their wish granted.

Only one episode in and Akina might be my favourite protagonist in Vanguard's history! His compassion towards his sister and others is so sweet, you can see how much he cares for others! Even in the opening, you see Akina giving Suo his Umbrella to stop getting wet by the rain, that's just the kind of man Akina is. Akina punching Gab Kamijou Touma style was also based and I can't stop watching it! Given how people have bought up the Fate nods with DivneZ, I love how they went all in with it with Akina's dad being seen as a Hero of Justice by his sister. Very much gives me Shirou Emiya/Kiritsugu vibes! I look forward to seeing where the rest of the season goes.

For people thinking you won't have to watch Dress series to watch DivineZ you have to. Although DivineZ will go back to the supernatural theme, that same thing was teased at the end of Will +Dress also, Taizo, Masanori and Megumi are all characters that had their story in Dress series and these 3 return for DivineZ, not only that but DivineZ continues where Will +Dress ended so to fully understand this series you'll need to still watch the Dress series even if you didn't like it because it was a more realistic approach, you'll still need it for DivineZ. So supernatural fans be happy that supernatural stuff is back but you still need the Dress series, because if 3 characters from there are back who knows who else might come back

But OG fans will always complain, some still complain that DivineZ doesn't have all units animated as if that was possible without hurting the Anime budget wise and quality wise. Some Old fans can't accept change, same thing happened with Pokemon Horizons which doesn't have Ash anymore. They can't accept different things, they become toxic and unbearable when they don't get the same thing they have watched for years

Review of Ep 1 !SPOILERS! READ ONLY AFTER WATCHING. Okay so I was late for this premiere, but I came around the 15 minute Ad Mark and I got to say after rewatching it it's not a bad episode actually very interesting. Akina is a very caring dynamic character and honestly we get to learn a good chunk about him as well. Gabwelius is absolutely adorable and the Lelouch voice is growing on me with his cute appearance. And of course that one scene that absolutely killed me was when Akina decked him sending em blasting off again!! 😂 In all honesty this episode made me feel--Good. I wasn't really bored more so intrigued by Akina and his sister and Nao who is pretty cute we'll have to see more of her in the next episode when they're fighting. Overall this feels like a way better start than any of the previous seasons of either OD or WD. Let's just see if they can keep this momentum going.

Theres characters coming from will +dress and overdress and two of them are main in this season so might watch those to get a feeling of them

I liked the episode. Seeing the cameos of the old Characters was also really cool. Megumi looks really good with a ponytail....and the new MC is also not bad. Maybe we also get some more animations for the rear guards this time. I am excited!

Wow, Vanguard DivineZ really HOOK ME. Actually, i'm kinda stop seeing vanguard when Vanguard overdress and willdress introduced. Because I feel that Yuyu as the protagonist has this hmm how should I say something lacking🤔. For starters, Aichi has a problem like a school bullying (prime example from zero to hero) while Chrono was an orphan that's why he has this edgy personality in the first season and his character developed in G-Next was satisfying for me. As for Shinemon, his brother and sister-in-law passed away and have to take care Misaki by himself. That's why Akina was the kind protagonist that I was looking for. He has this desire to change his sister fate from her sickness. From just episode 1, we can see that he is kind and quite clumsy BUT has a mature side (so he can support his sister). OF COURSE THE LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST, THEY BRING BACK THE IMAGINE LINE AND SCENE!!!!! I know that the current Vanguard was very futuristic (like AI as the opponent), so that also add the lack of my enthusiastic in Overdress amd Willdress. I hope the characters of 6 Divine will be well introduced too😅

To me, what Yu-yu was lacking was 1) an adequate amount of focus on his issues with his older sisters and 2) his character development _actually being shown._ The first one sorta ties into what you brought up, just that it's _not_ that Yu-yu _doesn't_ have any problems like that, just they aren't given as much focus, or even shown as seriously as they should be. And maybe, indeed, that those problems just aren't serious enough in comparison to previous MCs'.

Nice to see a new face and a new adventure about save the life of a precius one, like first season of Yu-Gi-Oh!, but new main character is gonna need a quick grow up

I am invested in this new series. OverDress did not do it for me. DivineZ has a great first impression. I love the punch to the dragon because I think anyone would have reacted in a similar manner. The characters are interesting so far. We have a plot with logic in it so far.
