Omg! I just realised that the name Chrono is in chronological which means arranging events in the order of there occurrence in time! Come on, did Chrono really has to win this one too? It's not like the world will crumble if he lost. I mean look at Shion and Tokoha. He looked so bad-ass defeating Miwa and a bunch of chasers during Dragon Empire G-Quest after he lost to Kai. And Tokoha beats Chris in Zoo G-Quest seemed more believable after she lost to Misaki. I'm not really saying that he needs to lose to be liked, it's just he keeps winning against people who we all know is stronger than him, at least at this point, doesn't really put a good image on him.

Players only learn from playing with people at stores etc. So when a new mechanic is introduced even if a basic one. it appears to anime protags as something amazing/new.
