No dont throw the pouch away it has all your memories attached to it, it is part of your history now. You can pass that on to your grandkids. How cool would that be. I have some of my grandma's sweater and my mum's and I will never part with them as it has so much memories attached and still in mint condition. As they say old is gold, quality of things back then were also made well. okI am digressing now. As long as it is clean and no moulds on it I say, Keep the pouch!
