I usually start petting cats by showing them my hand (in front of their noses) and if they come nearer I’ll start by lightly petting their heads. After that I’ll continue with their backs. I usually avoid their bellies though (especially if they’re not my cats). Cats are usually sensitive in those areas unless comfortable with you! I hope you’ll be an expert at cat petting by the end of this long trip 😂😂🐈

awww it’s so cute seeing u pet the cats!! I recommend when u approach them you get low (like you already did) but then introduce youself facing their face with the back of your hand/finger so they can smell you, then you can pet them. It’s like letting them know your there and going to pet instead of petting from behind and maybe scaring them ❤🐱

집사 3년찬데 살짝 팁을 드리면 먼저 고양이 코쪽에 조심스럽게 손등이나 손가락을 갖다대고 냄새를 맡게 해주시요! 그 다음 고양이가 안가고 계속 냄새를 맡으면 미간과 이마를 조심히 쓰다듬어주시면 금방 친해질 수 있을거에요! 자연스럽게 턱이랑 볼옆을 긁어주면 좋아합니당ㅎㅎㅎ 고양이는 진짜 존재 자체가 사랑입니다ㅠㅠ❤

its so fun to see when youre literally alone in seoul ajd now had so many people to get along. also cat didnt really like a strangers to pet their belly. instead try to pet their head or chin. if they crawl on the ground it means they wanna be to pat more. dont worry they didnt bite you, except when they wanna tease you.

Hey Deemd! As a cat owner I advise you to avoid petting at their lower back near the tail (they tend to hate it), try going for the neck or top of the head, I'm sure all the cats will like you then 😆 Love your videos as always ❣

Agreed, mine hate that spot too. Long strokes from neck to tail or petting the top of the head is probably best for a cat you dont know :)

Hey deemd another lovely vlog, my advice for cat petting is to stick to their backside even if they lay down otherwise they might bite or scratch you playfully. It doesnt hurt much usually but you might get scared. But a lot of them like if you pet their stomach it depends on the cat sass. Another great spot, works every time, is giving quick back and forth scratches to their jawline, they usually love it. Happy petting ❤️

아닠ㅋㅋ딤디님 점점 손등과 손바닥의 경계가 넘 뚜렷해지시는 거 아닌지ㅠㅠㅠㅋㅋㅋ 그치만 저도 이해합니다.. 선크림 넘나 바르기 귀찮은 것 고양이들은 사냥했을 때의 습성이 아직 남아있어서 머리 위로 손을 가져다대면 사냥감이거나 경계해야하는 걸로 인식한대요! 그래서 다가갈 때는 코 밑으로 검지손가락 먼저 천천히 가져다대면서 냄새 맡게 해주고 경계심을 풀어주면 그때 살살 턱밑이나 머리에서 등부분을 만져주면 좋아해요☺️ 뉴질랜드의 맑은 날씨 덕에 보는 내내 행복했어요 감사해요 딤디님 늘~ 사랑해용💌
