Let me answer your question, Cossert. If you've ever thought a tart was pie, you're forgiven because they're incredibly similar. The main difference is that tarts only have a bottom crust, and the crust is much thicker than a pie crust. Another difference lies in the top. While pies look covered from all sides, tarts are open from the top and you can easily see the filling on top. Wow, finally pie mukbang!!!! i have been drooling throughout this whole video! The one i thought might be the pumpkin pie turned out to be lotus pie 🤣 Sweet pies are my favorite deserts besides cinnamon rolls (my favorite deserts are apple pies & cinnamon rolls & gingerbread cookies > pumpkin pies & pecan pies & brownies > chocolate chips cookies & key lime pies > blueberry pies & cherry pies > scones). And apple pie is arguably one of the most popular pie flavors in USA. It’s also a symbol of America. i never tried the korean sweet pies but i can tell the pie crust are so different! korean loves either crunchy / crispy or soft / moisture or chewy / sticky foods so the pie crust of korean pies are usually thin and crispy. But as american apple pie, we use double-crusted pastry dough to make the pie crust so the pie base should be tender, buttery and flaky- a bewitching mix of flour plus butter for flavor and shortening (or lard!) for tenderness, while the top layer of crust that covers the pie could be crispy! We also season our apple/pumpkin/pecan pies with a lot of cinnamon! We will dollop some whipped cream/ice cream on top of the pie when serving😋 I wanna try all the pecan pies that you ate today!!!!!!🥰😍😋😋😋

@@cossert American kids (boys and girls) start baking breads, pies, cookies, biscuits (American biscuits which having similar texture with scones , not cookies), scones, cinnamon rolls with their moms or grandmas when they were little. So almost every family here has their homemade breads, cookies and pies for meals (at least the town i grew up). I also bake focaccia, ciabatta, baguette and German white breads in turns for my husband and myself as one of our daily carbs intake sources every another day. I would say 75% of american has a little bit (not that much🤧)baking knowledge 🤭
