MJ, I just wanted to say how encouraged I am by the way you handled Ruda and her not sharing the blueberries with KJ. Even though I know she was kind of being funny, I love that you instilled in her little mind that Mommy and Daddy are one! Soooo many times nowadays, parents are pitted against each other and most of the time the response is not mature and usually ends up with the wife and husband in some kind of a twisted competition on who can win their kids affection. I just think Ruda is going to go so far in her social skills, her ability to empathize and everything else because you guys are taking the time to show her how to treat others! ㅠㅠ 시골집가면 사촌애들이랑 장롱속에 있는 이불 다 꺼내서 미끄럼틀 만들고 장롱속에 숨어있다 할머니한테 들키면 옥상으로 도망가서 항아리안에 있는 된장 고추장 한입씩 먹어보고. 그 사이에 할머니는 우리가 흐트러뜨린 이불 다 개서 장롱속에 넣어놓고. 근데 또 얼마 안있다 우리가 그 이불 다 흐트러놓고. 들키면 또 도망가고. 포도밭에서 할머니 할아버지 일하시면 도와준다고 갔다가 몇분도 안돼서 덥다고 근처 냇가에서 놀고. 김도 맨날 우리가 좋아한다고 미리 봉지 다 열어놓으셔서 눅눅해진거만 먹던 시절이 떠오르네요.. 지금은.. 안타깝게도 그 사촌들중 저희 아빠에게 돈 빌리고 안갚거나 유산 받은 이후로 할머니 할아버지 제사때 안오거나 그리고 무엇보다 그땐 몰랐지만 지금와서 생각해보면 명절때 요리하는 사람은 우리엄마와 작은엄마뿐이였지요. 이걸 깨달았을때 엄마를 구해주지 못한 죄책감과 나에게 잘해주기만 하던 할머니를 미워해야되는지 사랑해야되는지 몰라서 얼마나 혼란스러웠는지 몰라요. 그래도 보고싶어요. 췌장암으로 돌아가신 할아버지와 뇌질환때문에 아무도 못알아보고 돌아가신 할머니도.. 영원할줄만 알았던 그 시절이 다 추억이 되어버려서 씁쓸해요.. 루다가족은 사촌들과 다 두루두루 친하고 사이좋고 서로 힘이 됐으면 좋겠어요. 루다 할머니할아버지 영상보고 한번도 이런감정 안느꼈었는데 가을타나봐요 🍂
