People act or do things in their personal life or just in general that others freak out about, when there is nothing wrong with what that person is doing in the first place. That could be a hobby, a decision you made, someone you want to pursue perhaps, and say for instance your parent could say “This hobby won’t make money” and will try to “cure” by getting you to do another hobby. Or “This person is bad for you (because I don’t like them)” and could try to tear you away from them. In both cases, the hobby and partner aren’t the issue, the issue is being made up in the mind of the parent or whoever person this could apply to in someone’s life. So, they are wasting all of their time freaking out about something, that isn’t a disease in the first place.
