Excellent points on compressor location and paneling costs considerations for the Thermador. I'd say that value-wise SubZero asking that much and still having a plastic interior is a bit of a bummer. You do get a stainless steel interior with the Thermador.

Our 30 yr old 48” sub zero is still working perfectly (except for the ice maker). I will replace it with another sub zero, no question.

Any, regardless of the manufacturer have problems with the freezer rollouts. They still haven't improved the track and rollers. Maintenance issue.
