​@@jeyrm I don't hate the idea of Byakuya surviving but him dying would have been better for the story considering his character had come full circle with this "final" scene with Ichigo and this Rukia fight would have held more emotional weight if she was fighting the guy that killed her brother. Because as cool (heh) as this fight is, there is no emotional stake here. Some neat ideas but the only really memorable part of this fight is Rukia's Bankai reveal. Like the Rukia vs Kaien fight was far more memorable because of the emotional weight it had compared to this fight which was more spectacle than substance.

To answer on why Renji wasn't in Rukia's "vision": I know a few people have mentioned it already but As Nodt's power is to cause fear from current insecurities and make them surface. Rukia just recently left Renji while being completely confident in his abilities which is why she's not worried about him currently. However, she hasn't seen Byakuya and Ichigo since their defeats and isn't aware of their progress. And naturally, she's worried about Orihime because it's been ages since their last meeting.

This isn't conformed and is an excuse made up by renruki shippers to cope. Rukia always had the most faith in ichigo, we see at the start of soul society that she had 100 percent faith he'd come. Byakuya and ichigo are also way stronger than renji.

She was so talented that the show itself talks about how she could've been seated but her brother wouldn't allow it. [Tidbits & Clarifications] - They may add it later but as it stands they seem to have cut out most of Senjumaru's (Gold Arms lady) content, she's the one who made the new clothes for Ichigo, Rukia, Renji, and Byakuya and they serve a purpose aside from just looking cool. (Again they may cover it later so I won't spoil what invention she made for the Soul Society) - The Scale is a hint at what Jugram Haschwalths' ability is. Giving what he said, Cang Du survived his 1st attack, which was fortunate, but then we saw the scale tilt. (Make of that what you will) - In the Manga, there exist a little more context to what As Nodt Fears. He exclaims: "My only fear is to be rebuked by his Majesty and have all of this Body taken from me" As we saw with the glimpses of his backstory, he was apparently always in a state close to death and that's a state that he never wants to return to. (Sidenote - Many fans theorize that the Schrifts that the Quincy have are based on traumas they experienced in life) - As Nodt's speech is slightly altered here in the Anime, but the general premise is that at the fundamental level Comfort leads to Life and Fear leads to Death, he believes that fear is inherently a feeling birthed from our survival instincts, meaning that to want to live means to fear death. - Some fans draw issue or feel that Rukia's reaction to Byakuya was forced, but as we know Rukia for a long time had never really felt seen by Byakuya, and learning that she was adopted thanks to a dying wish and not her skills certainly wouldn't help sway those feelings. - As Nodt's Death brings up an interesting topic, Yhwach comes across as even more sadistic ruler, he seems to take advantage of the Quincy who were looking for someone or something to save them, and he appears much like a false Mesiah, promising them everything while actually seeking to take everything. - In the Frozen info card, apparently it talks about Rukia and her identity and that her name is not her owns, it's somehing given to her by Rukongai Residents, and we all know how important names are in Bleach. (This ties into a mystery about Rukia that fans have been wondering about for years now) - Kirinji from the 0 Squad is known for his speed and he believed that it would take a week, Ichigo saying it'll take only half a day is a nice little humble brag. (Sidenote 2: As Nodts obsession with Senbonzakura is interesting, I personally believe it's symbolic. As Nodt seemed to have been living a bedridden life, so he life was likely devoid of seeing beautiful things, and likely felt that life itself was not beautiful. Senbonzakura is just that, this beautiful tool that he can use to employ the same fear that he was forced to endure.) [Repost]

The Bankai looks like her Zanpakutō when she appears in the Zanpakutō Rebellion filler arc. Kubo draw the Zanpakutō for that arc and some atleast are canon designs. I recommend you check it out at some point\own time, Shunsui Kyōraku Zanpakuto's are my favorite designs.

As much as I love Byakuya, I really do wish he'd have stayed dead precisely for this moment. Having Byakuya show up to save Rukia AGAIN kinda takes away from this moment really being her own. First at the Sokyoku, then again in Las Noches, and now here. For her to step out from his shadow and become her own person, I would have liked to see her come up with a way to counter Tartar Foras on her own and end the fight herself with no assistance. Regardless, they had/have some nice moments together where Byakuya acknowledges her strength.

@@YaBoyRockLee I do agree with the first point, it’s an incredible emotional moment for Byakuya and Rukia, but having that moment at the cost of having to get bailed out by big brother AGAIN doesn’t sit right with me as a big Rukia fan as she continues her streak as a damsel needing to be saved. It was pretty obvious that she was succumbing to the Fear and would have been finished if Byakuya hadn't arrived. I also don’t think loving a character is mutually exclusive to being against their death, it’s entirely possible to love a character but understand that their death drives narratives forward or causes growth for other characters.

Rock def got the point of this interaction with the Kuchikis. And I've said this plenty of times and do it again. Kubo never planned to kill off Byakuya in the first place as we can literally see in this episode why exactly he didn't.

@@muchoyurdem5260 As I already mentioned, I definitely agree that the moment they had was fantastic and a long time coming, but as I've been saying, I wish it didn't have to come at the cost of Rukia having to be saved by "nii-sama" AGAIN, continuing her streak of having to be saved (Ichigo, Renji, Byakuya, etc.). Like, it almost feels insulting to see how easily Renji dispatches Mask to then have Rukia be on the verge of defeat until she's bailed out by Byakuya. As cheesy as it might be, instead of being saved she could've had a flashback of being trained by Byakuya during the timeskip where he could've said those same words, and by remembering those moments she'd break out & finish the fight.

Something I feel the need to point out is, it's crazy how great this fight turned out despite loosing a huge part of its potential, because what was supposed to be an important part of it was removed, not only in the anime but in the manga too, let me explain. Initially, Kubo had planned for Byakuya to actually die after his defeat against As Nodt, but after recieving many letters and seing many comments from disapointed/angry fans he changed his mind and choose to make him survive. Now, with that in mind just imagine how differently this fight would have hit if he had actually died...
