I have a 2004 Wrx STI ECU installed to run the compatible Cobb Accessport. Otherwise no, I would have used the Baja ecu. The long block is a 2.5 and all of the top half is baja, so the Baja ecu would have controlled everything. Although I would have probably had it tuned because there is slightly higher compression in the legacy engine than the original Baja engine.

@stvnswld what is a easy cheaper way to make power

Are you talking about a Baja turbo? What would you consider cheap? What would you consider easy?

@@stvnswld yes the baja and like 500 - 800 and not having to tear apart the motor

@@connorfigueiredo1019 I would recommend an electronic boost control valve or EBCS. They’re pretty reasonable. Then I would go see a tuner and they can tune for more boost on your factory parts. You could pick up a used WRX intercooler as well, that would be pretty cheap. Ultimately though, there isn’t a whole lot of ways to add power without programming your computer to match the upgrades you bolt on.
