Dave look into an old down draft porting cabinet from Peterson etc. Winona used to make a sweet double bay downdraft valve job station that would be the ticket for your high volume shop. Aluminum dust is a killer dude! Keep your eyes on marketplace and equipment houses.

I have a question, when you build a EJ25 that is for an engine that is race prepared for circuit racing but NA, so higher compression, Cams, ect, what valve spring seat pressure you select for this compared with the Turbo street application?

@@CJ5EVOLUTION I’ve never done a NA one but I think you would get into the GSC conical. They have an 85lb. I would want it for the stability of the conical. Forget about the pressure, just need that thing to rev happily.

hey Dave, in NA the throat are is done to around 90% of the valve size. does that come in to play on these 4 valve heads with big boost? cheers

@@Nothingtoseehere363 sometimes! Depends on the head. The Subaru doesn’t like the throat opened up at all. Kills it. At 86% ish. Depends on the core.

@ depends on the bottom angle of the valve job but never more than 90%.

Never ported one, or even seen one but I would say most of the techniques used here work on any head
