Thank you so much for taking the time to explain the different trim levels, it is so helpful!

You're welcome Kimberley. I don't think we've had one example of each trim at the store at the same time since then. We were lucky to get the video done, in spite of the plane.

Thanks for explaining this. I want to buy a new SUV this Fall and I wasn't considering a Forester for 2017. I had a 2016 for a rental car and I wasn't impressed, but I liked the roominess of the interior. The gas mileage was so so. I like boxy SUVs since I have a 2009 Ford Escape. I've had nothing but issues with it and it's time to get something new. I researched the improvements for the 2017 MPG on the Forester and I'm impressed especially with the Hybrid Rogue and CRVs coming out. The gas mileage for a AWD is really amazing. This is back on my list and I will more than likely buy it.

Kind of odd how the base with alloy wheel and roof rail package cant get manual as standard or an option. I know the Premium and Manual come with manual standard. I've driven the manual and i didn't like how clunky the cable shifter felt. I have a 2014 Premium Forester CVT and the CVT is alot better than the manual.

Manual is the standard option on Base and Premium. CVT is an upgrade. Most people don't want manual so those models can sit around forever until that one person finds the manual they've been searching for.

can I get push button start installed on premium trim. Or can it be installed?
@edmonson84938 жыл бұрын
Hi Corey, Thanks for the question. I apologize it took me so long to answer. I only recently realized KZbin is a two-way deal. "Key less Access with Push-Button Start" is a feature Subaru only offers on the "Touring" trim level. There isn't a way that I know of to install it. While I am sure someone somewhere could do it... it would probably be cost prohibitive.

Ed Monson thanks Ed. that really sucks. I'm interested in Tue forester but I really want push button. o well

Thanks. These are just cell-phone vids I do when I have time and when we have actual inventory to show off. Hope they help a little.

So this still doesn't tell me the model I have. I am close to the Premium but I have things The higher model has and do not have things that should be there. I have no leather seats, moon roof, but have 10 way drivers seats, fully tinted windows but no back spoiler. I am going to assume I have a Premium with a few extras because it was intercepted and given to me at the time of purchase instead of going to another car lot. I did not want a moon roof as at the time of purchase I was transporting a Kayak and other things on the roof.

Thx, I can always go to the dealer here and find out but I am sure it's a premium as I didn't want the moon roof and have everything else the premium does. I didn't want to spend too much since it is my first Subaru. Besides in Canada our models are not the same as the States.
@edmonson84936 жыл бұрын
Definitely different in Canada. They're even different in Hawaii.

For 2017 they all get the same ugly wheels. The cheapest model gets no tint on glass which is a cheap shot
@edmonson84937 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment Kkeytothegate - the base models have always been strippy because the "function" crowd wants one with NO bells & whistles - they put the "U" in SUV! The alloys are the same on Premium & Limited, but there are nice 18" rims on the the XTs have their own beefy rims.

Da plane, da plane! How annoying is that? You need to have someone operate the camera or phone so you don't show the parking lot.
@edmonson84938 жыл бұрын
Great observation, thanks. This is my independent project as I am a full-time (busy) employee of the dealership. The videos have to get shot when we actually have the cars here and when I have time. Sorry for the imperfections.
