I remember when the Gen 1 came out late 90's & when my mum bought her first new car EVER, I (like any young kid wants to be involved in a car purchase) picked out a Forester. We lived in the wet tropics on the west side of the Great Dividing Range in Queensland, Australia (over 1000ft above sea level) & drove 25 kms up n down that range, 2 times a day, 5 days a week. EVERYONE in our town drove Subarus coz it rains 70% of the year & AWD was an asset on those winding horseshoe roads, often tainted with slippery oil spills from trucks. LOOOVE Subaru - they're like a rock on wheels & they just keep going!

+G Rodriguez Great story, thank you. We hear Subarus are hugely popular in your part of the world.

Then you must be on crack or have no access to other videos because there are literally dozens that are much better and more informative. This video about the Forester is actually one of the worst out there.

Very true. Bought my first 2004 Forester in 2005 and kept it until 2021 and only now I am looking at upgrading to a a 2013 and spoiling myself with the XT model based on your recommendation. Keep the great reviews coming. By far the best vehicle review channel on KZbin. Dry humour goes down great as well...

Hi I bought a 2013 model a week ago. Did you end up buying one ?
@robertjacobsfishing2 жыл бұрын
@@bineeshmathew07 yes I did. Never thought I would buy a black car but car in a Gen 4 2013 XT just works. Loving every day in this amazing vehicle. Cannot believe that Subaru would not consider putting the latest 2.4T in the latest Gen 5 shape to create another great XT. I believe the STi is also gone now....

I drove over the curb, in pretty high speed, and suspensions impressed me. I had to avoid another car and that low profile tire of 65 cm did not get damaged at all, and nothing dramatic just some plastic noises.

A few of these with low miles and good price in the UK at the moment. Tested one a while ago but went for the Outback instead. I didn’t need a turbo and the ride was more comfortable in the Outback.

Jocarl1215 but you didn't tell us and show us driving dynamics. Sitting in a white screened studio talking about a static vehicle is a strange car review.
@mlee61367 жыл бұрын
Cars.co.za this was a car review n a white screened studio with a static car. You gave a summary of the car. What was missing is the on road video review, the test drive like you get at the dealership. Get audience engagement with the car tackling small inclines, show merit of x drive 😅

Dodge Journey is cheaper and more powerful and has more space IMO. But yes heavier on fuel. but close to 150k cheaper if I'm not mistaken.

Hands down, one of the worst reviews of the Forester on KZbin. 7 mins of drivel and improper information. For example, the towing capacity is the same regardless of the engine. Why bother even doing a video when it's this incomplete. Horrible.
