This diesel boxer engine is 100% shit. Crankshaft always fail and broke.

That was with the first gen, which is normal as it was the first time they made a diesel engine.

Hi @@ALIENdrifter66, I thought the same that you wrote. I was investigating in website for second hand engines. I realised that all generations had the same problems, 2008-2010-2014.

@@teodoropicodeoro I have been in 400.000km second gen engines and owners didn't have any problems with them, but I've seen first gen engines that had crankshaft problems as early as 50k

@@teodoropicodeoro Subaru, like every Japanese car maker is speciallized in petrol engines, not diesel as diesel cars are a rare thing in Japan. Petrol engines keep in stock form and with a decent maintentance work really well. I wouldn't buy a diesel though
