Injectors are likely clogged if that engine has been sitting. Give them a cleaning and see what happens

The rear wheels move forward as you lift, so you need either adjustable trailing arms or to space out the trailing arm body mounts. This things gonna be great

After fixing the leak & cleaning injectors, do an idle relearn also. My buddies forestor always idles poorly after pulling the power until he does an idle relearn. From what I remember kill power to computer, wait a minute, power up computer. Start car and let it idle until fans come on (15 minutes) without touching the throttle. Turn off and restart.

Those tires are awesome. I've got a set of those in 35x12.5's on my ram and I can go just about anywhere. After you leave the mud or ect, they'll fling crap out of the tires for like a mile or so lol.

Anderson Design Fabrication can sort your rear wheel clearance problem. All you need is a trailing arm spacers set.

Had a '99 Impreza 2.5RS and loved that thing. Put Borla unequal length headers on it and a Stromung catback exhaust and thought it sounded great. Gave it a deep rumble. With decent snow tires that thing never got stuck once, ever, in any snow storm. That awd system was awesome.

Time for a little tune up, plugs wires and maybe even injector cleaning someone else suggested. Get a cheap OBD II scanner and check the codes, one of the cylinders is misfiring. That would be a great winter beater here in MI

Back to back championships is something that happened so much in my life I forget what an amazing feeling it is(esp with a Stanley cup),but u know I gotta bash it being 2 SHORTENED NHL season but it is the 1 sport it really does make a difference. 2 separate NON COVID back 2 back seasons is literally devoting 2 years of ur life performing at a championship level where 2 covid seasons had a pretty heafty break. Tip: atf fluid works really dam good really rusted stuff put them in a little container and let them sit over night and use a wire wheel to clean the threads first. I usually always get them off like that!!

You need trailing arm spacers to fix your rear wheel alignment, as well as 03-08 Forester Rear struts bolt right on and have a taller rear spring perch. will give you more rear tire clearance

Fix the exhaust leaks so the o2 reading is accurate. Replace plugs and wires sounds like a plug may have a carbon trace or have opened up completely. Vacuum hoses as well may need replacing very likely.

You have a vacuum leak causing it to idle high and the idle air control valve is trying to idle it down That's why it keeps going up and down

Run a wire from the te1 to e1 diagnostic plug and when u turn ignition to on the check engine light will flash on n off in intervals and get any fault codes

I’m still early in vid but I hope you did headgasket or plan on doing it. It’s pretty easy. 2 day job if you can get the heads machined right away. Don’t go oem, if u ever overheat a little bit for any reason the gasket will fail. Get a felpro mls or a six star mls. I daily a lifted forester.

Your wheel in the back is not centered because need trailing arm spacers for your lift. There are also 3 different heights of factory trailing arm brackets as well. Legacy, outback, and forester. You need to either try forester brackets or get spacers or both. Keep in mind you'll go through cv boots more often when you lift without spacing the subframes but you get more ground clearance. Also that is DEFINITELY a dead misfire. That car doesn't have the unequal length header so it should sound like a Honda lol

I like the Subaru project! I'd like to see how it runs after you replace the plugs, clean the injectors, and fix those leaks in the headers. I've had a couple of AWD Subarus I bought as winter beaters and put on four snow tires and they were almost as fun as any nice car I've had in the dry.

I feel you with the stud issue. My rear exhaust stud decided it wanted out when I replaced my exhaust. It also decided it doesn’t wanna go back in. Let’s just say my rear exhaust stud is now RTV

COOP! Get some unequal length headers and a cheap exhaust... it will sound badass You can get a header on Ebay for $250 then just get some 2.25" pipe, a flex joint, a generic high flow car, and cheap muffler, weld it up and you have a nice sound for $500

The vacuum line will probably throw an EVAP code, but I’ve heard Florida is lenient with their emission testing. You might want to check the firing order, spark plugs, plug wires, and the resistor ends, also the compression. It does sound like a dead skip which means it’s not firing at all. Probably a gremlin switched your plug wires while you were sleeping lol 👍 yesireebob

Penetrant and a wire wheel on a drill will take that rust right off the stud and you can easily take those nuts off.
