2:12 That's cool! I wonder if I have that feature in my 2024 Forester Wilderness. Is that in XMode?
@ChasingAdventuresCO6 ай бұрын
You should. It's under Car info from the main menu
@townsendmedia6 ай бұрын
@@ChasingAdventuresCO I found it when I pressed the info button and it was a feature on the multi-function display. It looks a bit different from yours, but the angle of the vehicle was there. Thank You!

We love our 2024 OB Onyx, and being a fellow Subie owner is what attracted me to your channel. BUT, your camping videos are just fantastic, although my bank account would disagree. After each video I say to the wife "we need that". Keep up the great content and may be we will see ya along the way. Friends in Florida

That new power station looked cool. I didn't see a link for the stove that you cooked your meals on. It looked to me that it had a built in wind shield but I wanted to check it out further.

Thanks for joining us. The power station was pretty cool with a built-in solar panel. The stove is an old stove, so it's not available, but this is the closest one I could find. amzn.to/3LifWuC

Hello, you have (as far as I can see) only made one video with a roof tent (from Thule). Otherwise you sleep in the car, have awnings, rear tents or tarps. Is it more comfortable and restful in the car than on the roof?
@ChasingAdventuresCO6 ай бұрын
Hi, it is easier to sleep in the car and I feel lot secure and I needed the extra cargo space for other things but I am planning to put the RTT back up and use that more.

Could you explain how you disable your lift gate? I wanna to this with my '24 and its never been explained well
@mattestes24426 ай бұрын
The battery is all that holds the lift gate open when the engine is off. Good question. And with the lift gate open for any length of time it depletes the battery’s life. He must have a spare battery
@QuantumMuch6 ай бұрын
As he shows, he uses the stick it lock the lever, and puts the hatch down imitating the car to believe it’s closed and locked, than he locks the vehicle so the power turns off (vanity/car lights turn off) than he opens it back up and the car doesn’t even know it’s open. So their forth the battery doesn’t die. @hibblybibblybo
@QuantumMuch6 ай бұрын
To unlock it, I believe you just hit the unlock button on your key fob, Andthan all inside lights turn back on and the battery is back on. So try your best to not unlock it after doing all that effort
@QuantumMuch6 ай бұрын
@@mattestes2442the hatch back should only be held up with suspension. Hence the suspension lift gate. Read my other response on how it all works. He shows it in this video how to do it, just he doesn’t ever speak in videos.

How did the flextail bug repeller work?

honestly, it works pretty good. but its not really effective in open area but in the tent works good and it only gets rid of mosquitos. other flying insects aren't bother by it.

What was that trick you did with your hatch lock?
@ChasingAdventuresCO6 ай бұрын
It's to trick the car to think the hatch is closed so that I could have the hatch up and won't drain out the battery. There will be a tutorial video coming up real soon.
