Great video and very informative. You have been a great resource and mentor. I’ve had nothing but fun with my KS4 Sambar!!

Hey Kevin, as always, appreciate your videos. So, I have a 1990 KS4 carburated Sambar. In midst of full restore. Got to to the point of reinstalling my distributor (mine is a points-based one, slightly different than this one in your video). Anyway, in process of installing new distributor o-ring, I broke my distributor! Right above where the new o-ring goes (I think that part is called the 'tang'). Ouch! Anyway, when I was installing it, I turned the tang to line it up with the off-centered camshaft slot. I was pretty sure I had it lined up right. Dude, I could not press that thing in by hand. My critical error was taking a rubber mallet and trying to tap it in, give it a little tappy, tap tap taperoo. :) The whole time I was struggling with it, it had me wondering if I'd ordered the wrong o-ring or something, slightly too large, for a different model. It appears there's only one model/part# o-ring so, pretty sure I got that right. In your mechanical experience working on these, have you ever encountered having trouble pushing the distributor in with a new o-ring?

I really enjoy watching your videos. Your videos are awesome. I live in Japan and have a 2001 TV2 sambar. It is almost the time to be able to import latest model sambar which is TV,TW.Are you planning to buy those types sambar?

probably not! i do not like the TT or TV personally. They ruined the sambar with the body change. just looks like they added some metal to the front with no thought :(
