Greetings from Russia! I drive an SVX, this is the second time I buy one. I live on the Arctic Circle. I drive 2000+ km to my mother, of which more than 600 km is a winter road laid along rivers, tundra and forests.

I love my 1992 SVX LS-L and drive it all the time.

Its a cool car, and some parts can still be ordered from the dealer and from japan. Right hand drive got a much better automatic transmission, I drive both, I feel a huge difference.

I love my 92. It's almost fully gutted. No abs or power steering, ac, sunroof, interior, everything gone. Getting a 4.44 5-speed swap done at the moment, can't wait till spring!

Would the suspension components from the more performance oriented Subaru models easily fit on this chassis?

SVX is Subarus King. It came too fast for its time. It deserved better.

I enjoy your review. The details you include are poignant, and worth hearing. The SVX was available in front wheel drive. It weighed a bit less, and was a touch faster, but in the curves, and at launch the AWD was fantastic! This car holds a special place in my heart, as I had just taken to car sales in 1994, selling Subarus, Jeeps, and Eagles. So yes, I sold the SVX, and it’s direct competitor the Eagle Talon. You remind me of “interesting,” times. Thank you for this review.

Unfortunate that one of the cars pictured had crash damage, when there are lots of pictures of well sorted cars available online. In any event, they are a very rare sight and still draw a great deal of interest at car meets, etc.
