Silly question: is there a special lug socket that doesn’t damage lug nuts?

Hoping someone can help. I broke the Philip's head mounting bracket under the side skirt and a) dont know how to get it out fully. B) if I can continue with the job. I went to the other side to remove the other one so i could go and find a replacement but it looks like the other one is also broken.

You can, I just did it today with the tires on.

Same. Honestly with the right tools it’s so much easier to do it with the tires on. Saves 10-15 minutes. Fronts are easier since you can turn the wheels.
