Islam (or any other religion) and Logic / Truth are mutual enemies. Earth can not be fixed with Sun going around it. It is hopeless for anyone to defend 6th Century information in front of 2024 facts. Evolution is indispensable to Biology. Science has always corrected its theories; such flexibility is missing with Religions; who are forced to All or Nothing choice. Next the role of religion in Global strife centres (wherein Islam is nearly a constant presence) is obvious as daylight and Humanity can not afford more of this. The minimum acceptable denominator in terms of Human (and even Animal) Rights is not fully compatible to Religious ideologies so STEM sciences, economics, management, governance has to draw from modern broader human experience and not some dated script evolving in a limited geography.

The idea that science in general and evolutionary theory in particular undermines theism is the standard academic view. It is not something that stands or falls with Dawkins. Michael Ruse for example, despite presented as an opponent of Dawkins by Subboor, explicitly and consistently agrees that Darwin allowed for intellectually fulfilled atheism.

War on (Islamic) Terror did not start in vacuum bot followed a series of grave events culminating in 9/11 attacks in USA in which Islamic radicalism played a big part. The planners and executors of all of these grave events drew their inspiration and justification from Islam so to not to expect / witness a spurt in Islamophobia would be rather naive. Now to be unfairly judged as a supporter of that kind of radicalism will be certainly a problem for an impressionable ordinary Muslim kid but essentially it is one kind of Otherism feeding into other kind of (or counter) Otherism. And that is where the widespread Islamic scripturally professed Otherism (of all non Muslims) may be credited as first mover. In addition to this problematic theoretical grounding of Islam (that has not seen any scriptural reformation like other major ancient religions) its political nature and history of conquestory expansion are the important aspects that contributed towards shaping the events. Interestingly this unique nature of Islam (very different from other ideologies was foreseen in early 1990s by Huntington et al who extrapolated the post soviet balkanization of Yugoslavia predicted a new war of civilizations. Huntington et al postulated it partly in response to End of History theory by Fukuyama et al. but none of the two parties were neo or proto Atheists. This clash bloomed post 9/11 world with War on Terrorism in Afghanistan spilling on to Iraq, Libya, Syria, Pakistan etc a d led to Neo Atheism who were emboldened to move beyond 'passive debate' on existence of God to 'active need' for discouraging (even disparaging) and not tolerating Religion by leveraging "clash of civilisation' and 'modern scientific evidence'. Islam being more religious of the other religions has held a center-stage. Whether Neo-Atheism has fallen or not can only be a guess or ideology driven assertion but need for reformation of religion (basically re-interpretation of scriptures) is bound to arise sooner than later. This is on account of increasing hard epigraphic and archaeological evidence very likely pointing to apocryphal (vis a vis a fixed / divine) nature of the Islamic texts. Evolutionary theory is much more central to Biology and progressed beyond Neo-Darwinism (at latest 1942 vintage). Subboor Ahmed in my initial guess does not have the credentials and credibility (even Hamza A Tzortzis came up much short in their debates) of a qualified career Evolutionary Biologist of Richard Dawkins' stature, but the neat title of his book Dawkins Deselected will sure help sell more copies; and I look forward to buying that. Choice of Sapience Institute; an Islamic ideology mouthpiece, as publishers, on other hand will not be helpful. Not many realise that we are already two decades past the (under-appreciated) inorganic synthesis of Polio Myelitis virus in lab and any similar synthesis of say Cyanobacteria or early Eukaryotic life form in lab conditions will have serious implication on debate. Similar events can also happen in wake of Man’s extended search (say of life) into and beyond our solar system. Till that happens we should rather spend more time on solving urgent practical problems like malnutrition, metabolic a diseases, pollution and climate change rather than proving it was God who made Man or the other way around.

You are such a lost soul! Brainwashed & disillusioned by secularism atheism & scientism. Poor you. Try delving into the philosophy of science with an open mind. You'll be shocked at how riddiculous your 'faith' in Science is. If you've dicovered a testable & repeatable method of producing life from inorganic matter, how come you aren't in the news??? Subboor misses the point, as usual. The selfish gene comes into play to protect our children and our tribe. Suboor also overlooks the power of something called empathy. The fact that watching others in distress causes us distress. There are mirror neurons in our brain that do this. Look at the theory that John Nash won a Nodal prize for. Nash discovered that our well being is based not just what is best for us, but what is best for the group.
@Yalla12347Ай бұрын
Considering this, the enforcement of an idea on the greater society or even military conquests and invasions does not need any liberal or moral questioning simply because the group or country deems it to be good for society. So in the end its not about why did so and so do this, its more about in order for the survival of an idea or people, it is essential to expand outwards. The method used is completely part of psychology, since there is no objective universal morality to begin with.
These videos would be astronomically more enjoyable if the interviewer would stop interrupting so much. This guy is the Pakistani version of Piers Morgan. 😂
