When you inject peptides like BPC 157 over the area of pain, it does not directly go to the area of tissue damage initially. The medication is absorbed by the blood vessels in the subcutaneous tissue and distributed throughout the body. Therefore, there is no difference between injecting in the abdomen versus over the area of pain when we talk about how the peptide gets to the damaged tissue.

If you’re new to my channel, my name is Dr. Drew Timmermans, ND, RMSK. I’m the founder of Regenerative Performance in Gilbert, AZ, specializing in interventional orthobiologics, which is just a fancy way of saying we help people reclaim their life from chronic pain without steroids or surgery. We challenge the conventional pain management approaches by addressing the root causes of chronic pain.
How I got here…
22 yrs old: Graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario.
23 yrs old: Competed as a long sprinter, anchoring the 4x400m relay to a silver medal at the Canadian national championships, contributing to Western's first national title in men's track and field.
23 yrs old: Started working as a personal trainer for GoodLife Fitness in Canada, quickly becoming one of the Top 10 Personal Trainers nationwide.
23 yrs old: Herniated two discs in my lower back, ending my track and field career and sending me into a multi-year battle with chronic pain.
24 yrs old: Enrolled at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (now Sonoran University of Health Sciences) after discovering my passion for naturopathic medicine.
26 yrs old: Still battling chronic back pain, I finally became pain-free through a platelet-rich plasma injection.
28 yrs old: Graduated and become a licensed naturopathic doctor.
29 yrs old: Completed the first-ever residency in regenerative medicine and integrative pain management at the Neil Riordan Center for Regenerative Medicine.
29 yrs old: Co-founded Regenerative Performance to help people with chronic pain just as I had been helped.
Today: We help people who have chronic joint pain reclaim their life with cutting edge treatments like platelet rich plasma, and stem cell therapy.
To everyone battling chronic pain, remember that your story is still being written.
Never give up.

I will say that from personal experience and maybe this is for just myself, when injection is inserted in the area of the inflammation/pain within minutes bpc 157 temporarily Acts as a pain relief in that location I have injected only. If tendonitis is present in both right and left arm, injection in right arm only feels 100X better for 10-15 min then left arm. Overtime it heals faster then left arm by a landslide as well. Cool thing to note, and this is for me personally could vary per subject.

Why not neural therapy to address congestion and “pain”? Abdomen, back, neck, and many other areas as well as scars can be addressed effectively and often simultaneously along with proper regenerative treatment for joints. There has to be a wide understanding of where to inject and when. Any synthetic nutrient(s) introduced into the body whether through injection or orally is risky and unnecessary.

We have seen the oral arginate salt work just as well as subq injections. We generally don't recommend the injectable version as this would require you to purchase BPC-157 from a research chemical website and these peptides are commonly contaminated with LPS, a bacterial endotoxin, which can cause really bad side effects. Instead of using injectable, we then recommend using an oral arginate salt. We use the BPC-157 capsules from InfiniWell as they use the arginate salt. If you want a discount code, we have one for our patients on our website regenerativeperformance.com/supplements. Once on that website, click the InfiniWell link, and then choose the product labeled 'BPC-157 Original 250mcg'. This is the version that does not have SNAC, which we find works better. As for time of day, I would do it on empty stomach after your PT or exercises that you are doing for the tendonitis

If you are working with a physician and can get injectable BPC-157 from a compounding pharmacy, then that's great. yes it definitely can! We use the BPC-157 capsules from InfiniWell as they use the arginate salt. To help out, we have a 20% patient discount code on our website regenerativeperformance.com/supplements (code is RP20). Once on that website, click the InfiniWell link, and then choose the product labeled 'BPC-157 Original 250mcg'. This is the version that does not have SNAC, which we find works better. The most common starting dose we use with patients is 500mcg, once per day on an empty stomach. The time of day may not matter, but it may also be better when taken before bed. We normally have patients take BPC-157 for at least a month to determine if they see improvements, but sometimes it takes longer to see effects as tissue healing takes time. We then have patients continue on the BPC-157 for several months, and then we might trial taking them off to see if their symptoms remained improved or if they regress. If they regress, we put them back on it.

We notice that a small percentage of patients who don't respond to oral will respond to injectable, but it's not a high amount. Oral works for both gut and MSK issues (despite what other people claim; we've dosed thousands at this point with oral and have seen amazing healing for MSK issues). But, injectable is gone because of the FDA, and we don't recommend buying injectable online as those research chemical websites are often contaminated with endotoxins. If you didn't respond to oral, AND you used a high quality arginate salt like InfiniWell, then you likely aren't a responder to BPC. If you didn't use the InfiniWell brand, then I would recommend trying that for a month. To help out, we have a 20% patient discount code on our website regenerativeperformance.com/supplements (code is RP20). Before the FDA was stupid and banned this from compounding pharmacies, I would have said either (although oral is cheaper than compounded injectable).
