Same man. GT racing mostly went to shit after GT1 ended. Now all the cars are full of assists, don't sound as good (to be fair, it is way less than the decline of F1 and the Porsche's and Audi's sound cool), and look a lot less tame. Look at that Lamborghini or the Maserati from the years before. They looked absolutely mental. Imagine an Aventador, 918 or FXX-K GT1. LMH is a modern take on the GT1 of the late 1990s. Its pretty cool, but I would like to see them up the power limit to 800HP and ban turbocharging.

using a force feedback wheel is pretty good way of almost simulating real life...you still cant feel the bumps throughout the car's chassis but you get a good road feel through your hands at least

The Ford and the Nissan sound exactly like it buddy lol. The only cars on the track that sound unique or with personality at all are the Aston and Lamborghini. I suppose you could say the MC12 too.

What kind of assists do these cars have going on? DO they have any type of traction control or abs? I'd assume abs is almost necessary, but are things like traction control common in GT1 races?

@necromorphs when you get adrenalin, speed and the gforces on top of the pressure of winning or losing, racing is NOT that easy at all :D GT5 is a pretty darn good game too, but you simply can't drive the same way. Feeling the tarmac under your chassis is quite a different experience all together. Games are just too distant.

Try playing GTR or GTR2. FIA GT Championship simulator. Most realistic racing game on the market. If you can't play Shift 2, you might throw your computer/ps3 out the window.
