You did a great job explaining the process, thank you! Could you put the tile in heat press after you trim the laminate and sublimate on it, to shrink the laminate again to not have rough edges?

I used a wood burning tool and went around the edges and it smoothed them out perfectly! I'd make sure your tips is clean. I did a vintage look so it only helped but I have an old tool called HOTmarks I think that I never used and I will use that from now on.

Are you using the tile template or how are you sizing your images cause mine came a little off with the measurements that you gave
@robinmann14913 жыл бұрын
I measured my tile and made it a little bigger and just made a square. Then on my shilouette program I downloaded a picture that I took of my tile and traced it and made a template then sized it to get my images centered. I will see if I can make a video on that. I think it sounds confusing when I type it out lol.

Can u use oven or iron if u don’t own heat press ?
@robinmann14913 жыл бұрын
You can't sublimate in an oven that is used for food. But if you have a convection oven that is only for sublimation I'm sure you could get some of the sublimation shrink wrap that is used with tumblers and do it in a convection oven(that is not used to cook food in). I don't know about the iron it needs to be able to get to the 400° and have constant firm pressure, I'm also afraid that the steam hole in the iron will leave places on the tile where it did not get the heat/pressure it needs. I hope this helps

I haven't done anymore of these. I did not have any air bubbles in mine so I not sure what you would do. I guess you could try to take a pin and pop it and reheat/press the tile to see if it will stick. make sure your tile if face down so the face of the tile is on your foam mat.
