SUBLIMATION on DRY ERASE Board (How To Video) Hacks

Sublimation on dry erase boards that I found at Dollar Tree and Five Below. I've heard that you can sublimate on dry erase boards and I am putting it to the test. Come along with me as I try sublimation on all different types of dry erase boards and let's see what works and what doesn't.

Update on the paddle dry erase board. That plastic film that burned off must have been important. It didn't survive the first rain shower. LOL

I'd suggest sealing it with either clear coat acrylic spray or perhaps, a thin layer of resin?

You could possibly use lamination sheets to reapply the plastic coating. I also would suggest applying lamination before you sublimate them for a more vibrant color and more shine. I am still trying to adjust time, pressure and temp on my heat press to get a consistently good result on dry erase boards. I used a pressing pillow with the easel and did not need to remove it from the frame.

Sweetie, just a tip for the easel boards for the next time. Instead of prying it and risking damage you could place the easel under the heat press or use a heat gun on those areas first to soften the adhesive they use when they manufacture it. Should pop right off after that once that glue is softened from the heat

Dont use wax paper. The wax on it melts. You need parchment paper or just regular copy paper works.

Its cuz u put the heat on the same place twice. By having to split the heating process. I believe

I recently upgraded and got this one that does large format. amzn.to/3ch5fqT You basically just have to have an older epson workforce that takes the empty cartridges with the resettable chips, there are a few to choose from. I fill those empty tanks with sublimation ink. LOVE it.

Maybe pre press the dry erase boards for about 30 sec, then the easel glue will release easier.
