Thank you so much! I have used a Epson Ecotank 2720 for 2.5 years. I bought it primarily for small items, earrings, coasters, mugs, 20 oz tumblers, baby bottles, kids cups, keychains, etc. I was able to do a 30 oz in two prints and then taped them along the back so they lined up. However, most people prefer the 20 oz, so I pretty much stick with 20 oz straight skinnies and sell a lot of those, including 20 oz Hookahs (very popular) This video is a must for those new to sublimation to know what sizes paper they need for the jobs they are doing. So on the wine bag, if I wanted to press on the sequins and then I wanted to press on the fabric part will it mess up or bleed on what has already been sublimated? Hmmm...take a stack and flex it lengthwise, back and forth. Then, stack about 10 sheets of plain paper behind it before printing. Let us know.

Have 2 questions for you.... 1) Do you think this machine is sufficient for doing t-shirts (largest size being a man's extra large and women's med/large size)? 2) Have you heard of or tried the Cosmos Inks? If so, how does it compare to inks you recommend? TIA.

You can do very large t's but the design should be thought out to have natural breaks. Piecing together a full color design, without breaks, and having it come out perfect is difficult. I love Cosmos.

2760 will be cheapest, but you can't replace the maintenance box... otherwise they all print the same.

I think I missed it and I watched the whole video but just to confirm in order to print 8m5 by 17 for example I'd just need to set it to legal size ? On epson 2720

Legal is by 8.5 x 14.. So if you're print is really 17", don't select legal. Select a custom size and enter the 8.5 x 17. Hope that helps.

If I cut the 13 by 19 paper down to 8.5 by 19 but the cut isn’t perfect let’s say it’s just a tiny bit wider than 8.5 will it jam the printer

Enter a custom size - make sure your workspace is also that same size.

I watched your 1st video on how to set the printer for best sublimation, after doing what you explained my printer would not print a full design. It would only print about 2” of the whole sheet. Would you have any idea of why this is happening? I never had this problem before I changed my settings. Your help will be greatly appreciated. I have orders to fill and I can’t print anything

Hmmm. something is not set right. Check both your paper size and workspace size. Also be sure you never have "shrink to fit" or "reduced" selected.

Would you prefer an epson 2720 or epson 4700? I’m debating what I should buy and I just cannot decide 😁

2720 and 4700 do the same thing for sublimation. Same paper size limitations. 4700 has a top document feed and fax, which are not needed for sublimation. You can buy Two 2720's for one 4700 (normal pricing). I wouldn't turn down a 4700, just wouldn't pay extra for irrelevant features. Hope that helps!

I love your videos but I do have a question! If I use the 13x19 split to supplement a image for a larger t-shirt can I use program I use to to split the picture to print out , so I have a bigger design.

If I understand, you want to enlarge a print AND print the enlarged print in sections. If that's what you want, you would have to physically enlarge the print - because a print will not enlarge just because you select a different paper size. Very informative, thank you. When you’re pressing, for example, a pillow cover, and you have to do 2 presses, odds are, you’ll overlap the heat on the first design pressed. Is that ok, as long as it’s covered while pressing?

Thank you! Double pressing does take some practice. We always try to use a double-press "friendly" design to begin with (no faces etc.,) and we always let the first pressed side, fall off to the side of the press, trying to keep the top platen from even touching it. Hope that makes sense.

We have a store on our QuickSPI site and also a storefront on amazon. But we also scour buy-in groups. When it comes to fabric pieces, just look at tags for high polyester count. For instance, white, polyester pillow cases are just about everywhere.

It depends on the computer I'm at. But if I have a huge print, I'll import it into paint or powerpoint. Paint can print tiles and powerpoint can save as pdf, which then can print as poster.

Hi, it's not better. It's cheaper. They do the same thing when it comes to sublimation. They print the same size. If your only option is 4760 (or if you need the features), it's just as good for sublimation.

Thanks so much for letting me know my 2720 is a reg Printer 🖨 not a sublimation printer 🖨 of course I was told it was this the 450$ then I watched it Sold for 98 dollars 💵 Maybe still was worth it they converted it gave me Ink paper and some starter items. Idk 🤷‍♀️ now about the size it has to have boarder area I’m just wondering how can we get it the longest it can get. Can you do a video with and long or wide as we can get not the 8 and a half inch but the other size.

Hello! If you mean print your design, yes sublimation paper does come in rolls. The 8.5" is really hard to find, but you can cut it with a razor knife as needed.

The 4760 will print 8.5 inches wide (minus 1/8th" border) and as long as 47". It is fine for tshirts. If you're doing really large tshirts, like 3x, it's wise to make a design that easily breaks up...no seems to piece together.

Yes! The 2720 can print up to about 47 inches. Just make sure your design space is the exact size you want to print.

The specs. On the 2720 shows it prints max 8.5” x 11” you mentioned it does the 8.5” x 47.2” which the ET 2760 does. Pls confirm you are correct about the 2720 also doing 47.2” as this is a deal breaker for me. Your videos are great and so informative thank you for all your help and research. Tossing up between Epson and Canon as there are so many videos saying the Epson continually breaks down.
