Also ball and chain instead of house of suffering. Lotta differences in this live.

Let’s go get stoned with the samples by Miguel is unreal - fascinating. And makes you wonder why they didn’t keep doing that even with Miguel on the soundboard - it’s a gimmick maybe but they kept trying new things and experimenting. Long live sublime

Having listened to nearly every recorded piece of Sublime music in existence, this has to be my favorite. The boat party show is great too, but audio quality leaves a lot to the imagination…whereas here you have done an incredible job doing this golden time capsule justice. Incredible set! Thank you Jim. It is just unbelievable to have something like this come into orbit in my ears 30+ years after being recorded.

Facts. I really like party on a boat, but there are missing/ inaudible chunks. I love the really early live stuff. and of course memories bootleg live at trassel tavern.

also when they play on a beach in mexico, that coulda been great if recorded better. im pretty sure migs plays with them in that also

You're the man! I've been dying to know more about the Vancouver dates! To my knowledge, the ONLY times that (the true) Sublime performed in the Great White North.
@EdChvz2 жыл бұрын
@@JustChillwithOliverGeorge I recently dug up more Vancouver dates. They bounced back and forth between The Cruel Elephant and the Nappy Dugout between 1992-1993 if you're familiar with either of those venues
@JustChillwithOliverGeorge2 жыл бұрын
@@EdChvz I'm not familiar with those, but I will look them up! Thanks for the info!

Does anyone know if the song at 7:19 is a cover? I wish they would've made a studio version of it. It sounds so good! Props to Miguel for those background vocals! Amazing.

This is equal in importance to the Lomax recordings. This is Sublime as Brad, a modern day genius on the Beatles/B. Wilson level, intended them to sound. What do this show and the bulk of the 40 oz album have in common? You may figure it out. Brad was loyal to a fault. Fortunately, this recording and 40 oz exist.

Pay to Cum is such a disaster and pure gold at the same time. Sublime was what I called an homage band, Didn't do many straight covers but took riffs and hooks from all their greatest musical influences. What a time to be alive

UNREAL. The BEST era to hear live Sublime. What a treasure.

only thing that would have made this better was having Marshall Goodman on drums and rap for Live at E's.

What makes this one of my favorite shows? *New Song - My favorite off 40 oz, and this is the first concert I've heard it played *Backing vocals - Really rounds out the vocals / RAS MG = legend *Soundboard recording *Rome is in now way involved
@FeedMeMedia5 жыл бұрын
Sadly this is Kelly Vargas on drums, certainly not RAS MG...I wish Marshall was on drums...he was the best Sublime drummer and laid down nearly all the drums on 40oz album
@holyshit1916 Жыл бұрын
@@FeedMeMedia Bud was their best drummer, i dunno what ur smokin
@FeedMeMedia Жыл бұрын
@Holy Shit guess you ain't a drummer. BUD is the hardest hitting, Marshall is more proficient
@holyshit1916 Жыл бұрын
@@FeedMeMedia i am. but i will take dynamics over efficiency any day. i guess it's really subjective to a matter of taste. i like bud's range & ear for dynamics. he plays with way more feel. to some, "better" means more textbook, but i prefer feel.
@FeedMeMedia Жыл бұрын
@Holy Shit i love Bud too, don't get me wrong but I guess I enjoy Marshall's variety and style variations. Bud plays pretty consistently, but when I wanna challenge on the drums, I'll put on "Thanks Dub" which uses a crazy syncopated, jazzy feel far more complex than anything else Bud ever played. I like the jazzy, different approach Marhall takes on punk and reggae on 40oz.
