Clear water is absolutely worse. At least if the water is murky you can't see it from the outside. For me, it's way scarier being able to see the thing down there beneath the water's surface than seeing it emerge above the surface, yknow?

Think about how the movie jaws doesn’t show the shark until like 45 minutes in, your imagination is often scarier than anything physical you could think of. (So for the first 45 of the movie your imagination is what is causing you to be scared, since you literally haven’t seen the shark itself yet lol.) I don’t disagree with your opinion, but at least you can avoid the water if you see something in clear water, whereas murky water can’t…

And yeah, TOTALLY fair, I can totally understand how not being able to see it is scary, too. I guess my specific phobia just manifests more when I see something under the surface. I've been creeped out by pools with decals on the bottom before, lmao.

I think seeing an unmoving animatronic in clear water (like Bruce the Shark) is where I go, "NOPE," but if I'm on the surface seeing something rise up out of murky water, that "NOPE" feeling seems pretty much the same. Either way, you could not pay me enough to be in water with any kind of manmade animatronic even if it's turned off.

The first puppet/animatronic is absolutely beautiful, it’s so realistic and well done the movements are awesome. Crocodiles/ alligators are my favorite animal and what I study and the first two are so well done it’s insane

the crocs in the rainforest portion of the living with the lands boat ride at epcot always spooked tf out of me idk why but putting them next to a waterfall makes it even creepier

17:25 Thanks for using my footage! btw, It is not motorised and instead pnuematic, when I went I heard hissing (air being refillied) I emailed watermouth and it uses air rams. It's also jerky because you can technically control it, as soon as you trip the ir beam, it emerges, as soon as the ir sensor senses nobody there it goes back down, you can take your hand on and off the sensor, thus my video making him jerk around.

I love crocs (as well as gators and caimans), they're incredible animals with an amazing prehistoric history, a fascinating biology, and are just really cool to me. Now ROBOT crocs? NO THANKS! No matter how amazingly realistic or super doofy their animatronics can look, the uncanny creep factor jumps way higher especially when they're in water. It's like they're imitations of the real deal with even more sinister intent to drag you down.

Both kinds of water are scary. With murky water, my wild imagination is kicking in and will add the rest of the animatronic automatically. And with clear water, you will definitely see all of the creature.....

In regards to future videos discussing animatronic crocs, the ones from the Rainforest Cafe always creeped me out. Although a couple years ago I went on the Rainforest Cafe boat ride in Galveston TX and I have a new appreciation for the regular croc animatronics. The ones on the ride were not working when I rode it and I was fully expecting them to jumpscare me as my little seat slowly floated past them. Plus I could see all the mechanisms through the water it was horrible. They didn’t move at all. What’s worse than a fully functional croc animatronic? Seeing the same model of submerged croc animatronic and knowing it’s supposed to move, and yet it’s not moving and now you’re just begging it to continue to not move

If they had just put Monsieur Facilier in the finale, 99.9% of my issues with this ride would be resolved. He is, in my opinion, one of Disney's top 3 coolest villains. And that tunnel was just MADE to have dark lwa swirling around in it as the catchy rhythm to his song booms around you.
