😊Great video😊 i hope you can help me withmy questions. On the packaging, The specifications for the 0.5 hp pumps says "140 liters per minute." there is a big difference between your actual use and the specs. Your review timed the 30 liter container at around 2.5 minutes, which translates to 12liters per minute. Why is there a big difference? Im asking because im looking around for a pump like this. Thank you 😊

I've been told my was slower because I used a smaller hose, a water hose. There are hoses that are bigger and should produce a lager flow per minute. Hope this helps.

Very informative video. I’ve recently purchased a similar dirty water pump. I do have a question though, I can see that the discharge diameter is larger than the hose you attached, wouldn’t this impact the life of the pump in the future? Creates more friction on the motor.

is the pump noisy? do you know what db it's operating at?
@thephilippinesaforeignersw62362 жыл бұрын
Not noisy at all other than the water coming out if the hose. It's underwater, down a well, you can't really hear it all unless you stick your head in the well, but still not loud!

@bongcamporedondo14 жыл бұрын
Sir, why dont you use pumps that are intended for that kind of application?.it saves you time and money both in short term and in the long run..pumps intended for that can give you more pressure,head,etc..it can even last longer way longer than that pump because it is designed to do that
@thephilippinesaforeignersw62364 жыл бұрын
It was a cost factor, but you're right.

What kind of pump are you suggesting sir?
@bongcamporedondo13 жыл бұрын
If the water is 25ft or less from the ground surface i highly recommend speroni shallow well water pumps.. They made in italy and in case of repairs you can find parts of the pump on our local hardwares..but if the water is more than 25ft, i suggest franklin submersible water pumps..the submersible pump would not run dry with your water source

@thephilippinesaforeignersw62365 жыл бұрын
Hello, to answer your question... for the 1/2 HP at 6 liters per minute that would be 360 liters per hour. For the 1.5 HP at 12 liters per minute that would be 720 liters per hour. Hope this helps! This is a good approximately.

@@alvin6012 The hose is 3/4" and I had to take the connector that came with the pump to a hardware store to fine the adapter(s) needed to attached the water hose, but it was easy.

I'd like to point out that you did indeed measure the depth of the well, but you lost a bit of the total length since you started to measure from the hose and not the water input itself (the part where the water actually starts get the force motion and gets tossed into the metal tube which then goes in through a 90 degree angle towards the hose input). And another note regarding measurement, is that it seems the water hose, went down about a meter, then back up again 1 meter, forming an U shape, which needs to take into calculation as well, since you basically are going to have to go upwards 1 meter again. So in total I'd say you're missing maybe 1,5 meters give or take. Then there's the angles that the water has to flow through, as I mentioned of the 90 degree angle, that really reduces pressure a lot, since it's far smoother to run water from a straight line than a 90 degree curve. Not to mention if you have the hose pressed (for example you step on the hose or you twist it), again the water loses it's momentum there. You want to keep the hose as free as possible, without squeezing them too much and keep the curves as smooth as possible. Lastly, the hose size. Make sure you use a big enough hose. If the hose is smaller than the metal tube, you are going to lose even more pressure for certain. Make sure the hose size is at least as big as the output of the water pump itself..
