I know most punk isn’t known for great low end, but the punk music that bill stevenson and jason livermore produce out of The Blasting Room has great sounding low end that translates great on all playback devices.

I just bought this on sale and its a monster of a plugin. Goes great with my drums and bass. On the bass it's replacing a limiter and compressor and doing a better job.

Been using it as my main bass compression ever since I got it. I actually do the thing you do often and split the bass into low and high tracks with one double tap instance not bringing down the low end output giving that real focused level low end without saturation and another instance on the high track with all the low end taken out giving you that real stable in your face DI. Blend to taste 👌

I don’t have the best monitoring systems for low end, but even over my phones speakers I can hear and feel a major difference boost. I’ve always struggled with low end. This may just be the fix so I can get back to only creative side of the music. Thought this plug-in was delay taps at first, glad to have checked it out.

Alice in chains "Black Gives Way To Blue". The amount of low end with clarity that Randy Staub did is AMAZING. I know that mastering Ted Jensen alsa is not a "rookie", but Randy is well known of His magic in that region also. Not to mention tkat it was tracked by Paul Fig and produced by Nick Raskulinecz. Such a great sound doesn't come from nowhere. To quote Mr. Staub: "I don't have a Metallica button on my console".

Sounds like a 2 band multi band compressor. Or perhaps a low band compressor feeding into a general compressor?

Possibly, my guess is it's splitting high and low passing the signal and then combining in much the same way many of us mix bass!
