I can't even recompile Unity assets for games after simple value edits, not without them barfing up errors. Then I gotta "fix" the code so the recompiler works. I enjoy tweaking game mechanics, I'm not a coder, I just know enough to do what I want to with what exists already. I'm assuming its a function the creators used, that it doesn't exist on my recompiler in the same way it does on the software they used. Often I find the value and functions I want in the exe, but they aren't actually used in the game - often it seems the values in the exe are overwritten by those in the ASSET files, so I gotta edit those instead in another editor. Programs like GREPWin are a godsend for finding what you are looking for in dumps.

This is probably my favorite DreadX game out of all of them. Quite creepy, but pretty funny too, especially within the programming/gaming segments. (Also I need a gif of Potato bouncing like in the beginning. It's super cute and fun to watch.)

I brute-forced every possible combination and only found dead (syntax 1), read (1), open (2) and item (3). I wonder if anyone's found anything else, cause I didn't bother attempting to compile the combinations that seemed like gibberish edit: also I had no idea there were hints on the whiteboard, cause I'd only looked at it when it said '12 hours left'. That would have been really useful instead of having to brute-force every possible combination just to find item (and dead).

The part with MooMoo being dragged into the cave made me shudder and sent chills down my spine. And I watched the entirety of Dismantled and only jumped twice. The surrealism is what gets me. It reminds me too much of my dreams. After the screen glitched I started rocking back and forth. reminds me of the dream I had where the world corrupted. Huge chunks of land suddenly gone, random buildings suddenly how they were decades in the past, roads copied and suspended sideways in the air by nothing, and then suddenly being transported from a car ride near home to an island being hit by a hurricane. I heard a person's last words over a walkie talkie as the giant tree they were in suddenly fell into the sea. The way the panicked screams suddenly cut to static as I watched the rocks and dirt beneath the tree crumble away before it plummeted into the churning ocean is something I will never forget, no matter how much I wish I could.
