What do you think about being able to submit a demo to a music library? Useful to save time, or do you risk them not getting the "bigger picture" of the track you have in mind? Let me know your thoughts below!

Thanks for this information I have watched several of your videos and subscribed. Very helpful. I have been a Hip-hop artist for several years and I’m now moving towards the sync license industry.

As far as I know, TRX only does buyouts from composers. You're not getting any sorts of backend/royalties. Simply check their albums credits. The writers are always the same.

Hello. I thought I’d have a quick look at TRX and dipped into a few libraries, selected a few styles. I do like the quality of the music while also being reassured that I could can match some of what they do. However - while I obviously can’t look at every single track I can’t see a single track which isn’t composed by G.Small and F.Gerard. Although Artist names vary. What’s going on there?

Hey there! Firstly thank you very much for this info! I've literally just phoned them about this - their answer was so interesting I'm going to make a "part 2" follow up to this video to explain it! Watch this space!!

@@MusicForIncome was there a part 2 to this? have your views changed since?

So many libs turn into subscription model these days. I'm at the beginning of my licensing road and the comments I hear from composers who had their tracks with libs that changed into such model, are very discouraging 😞
@MusicForIncome2 жыл бұрын
Interesting stuff, Joanna. Do you think that’s because of the clients a subscription model attracts?
@JoannaLero2 жыл бұрын
@@MusicForIncome I gather it is great for the clients as they can have more music for a fixed subscription fee. And good for the libs but the blanket license is very detrimental for composers. Very hard to anticipate how much you're going to get paid, if anything. I'm not with any such libs but that's what I've been told.
