I finished my CCNA program at my local college a few weeks ago! I have been using your playlist to help me refine and study for the exam! Your explanations are exactly what I did not know I was looking for! Thanks so much from the bottom of my heart! You are helping me provide a future for my 11 month old, my wife and myself! Thanks again and I look forward to the rest!

Grateful for these. Passed the CCNA but I've been worried about forgetting it all before I finally land a job. These have been very helpful practice. Thanks!

@Keith Barker Thanks for this lab Question How would we use this command in your Lab? When to use it? Why would we need to use it? #switchport trunk native vlan #switchport trunk allowed vlan Asking because I see this command on my live network at work.
@KeithBarker4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the question Wilson. By default trunks are willing to carry (tag and forward) layer 2 frames for all VLANs they are aware of. However, we can restrict/allow specific VLANs that can be sent over the trunk, that is what is being shown in the "allowed" command. The one and only Native VLAN won't be assigned 802.1Q tags by either switch at the ends of a trunk connection. By default VLAN 1 is the native VLAN, unless it is changed. We can assign a different VLAN to be the native VLAN if we want, and we would then do it on both ends of the trunk. In addition, there is an option to add a tag to the native VLAN, if desired, but most people won't do that. Hope that helps, and thanks for the question.

i prepared the table but i dont know how to insert the ip addresses in the multi layer switches

Thank you for the question Avin Pereira. To add an IP address to a MLS, it is done through a Switched Virtual Interface (SVI). You create one for each VLAN you want to use one in. The command to create an SVI for vlan 9 would be: config t interface vlan 9 ... (followed by the IP address and other configuration you want for that SVI in vlan 9. Hope that helps.

SIR, PLEASE EXPLAIN BRIEFLY ACLs AND PRACTICAL, I WILL BE THANKFUL
@KeithBarker4 жыл бұрын
Hello. ACL is an acronym for Access Control List. An ACL is used to identify specific IP packets. Standard ACLs can match on IP source addresses. Extended ACLs can match on source or destination address, and/or layer 4 protocols as well. ACLs can be used to permit or deny traffic going through a router, when applied as a filtering ACL on the router interface. ACLs can also be used to identify specific traffic to be used with NAT or QoS as well. Hope that helps. Here is one of my videos in the CCNA 200-301 playlist, specifically on Access Lists kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpTSqJ9rm66AebM CCNA Playlist is here ogit.online/sloth Thanks for the question, and happy studies.
