Loving my big 8.1 Beast! We picked up in November and have spent around 20 nights camping and living out of our Suboverland. Loving the build. Grady is awesome to work with. Ours has 180k and I have no problem with the mileage or putting another 180k on it.

I have the 8.1 yukon xl. 2002. Camped in it qbout 5 times now. Great pulling our 27 foot snowmobile race trailer. Going to insulate and outfit the rear end next summer but so far just removing 3rd row and adding a pad and a small electric generator or extention cord driven heater has been fine down to 32f. I only get about 13mpg towing or not tho...

I was getting you mixed up with another Channel sorry about that. I would so love to have one of these. All I've ever had is used until this Toyota RAV4 which by the way I do not care for too many reasons to list. The fact that these are Chevy great. I had a used Saturn Vue before this I loved it. The engine was sound I won't go on about it but way better than what I have I'll just put it that way! I would love to get on the list

I have an 01 suburban, and now working on a 98 Bravada as a backup. Both need work, Sub cosmetic, and the Bravada mechanical. Both mostly reliable.

Can explain why you guys migrated from the Goal Zero power stations to the EcoFlow batteries? Was it cost, performance, reliability, or something else?

Glad to see you guys make the obvious choice and go with Ecoflow. Those Goal Zero units are ridiculous for their price... they dont even begin to compare to Ecoflow. I got a River Pro and I love it so far.

Those Z-71's really are pretty. I like my regular 2005 Suboverland, too. The chrome sets off the black nicely. I'm more than happy with my rig. You did such a great job and I appreciate all the care you take with your vehicles. I drove 1700 miles home in it without one single problem. I've had to do a few minor repairs and replacements since then, but what do you expect with a 16-year-old vehicle? These were inexpensive and easy things for me to handle, and I mostly did them all myself (with help from KZbin University--lol). A couple things really did need two people, so my ex helped me with those. I'm almost done with my build. I have a playlist of my entire build-out on my channel, as well as a playlist for the miscellaneous work I had to do (the above-mentioned repairs). It took quite a while but it's designed for my needs, and I've been working around Indiana weather with no indoor work space (and limited help). That's why I chose the base model. Your built-out packages are clearly designed for a part-time couple (with or without children). Something used just for weekends and vacations. I'm by myself going fulltime so I wanted to do things differently in order to maximize the space. The bonus to buying a base model is that you can get it much faster and cheaper. 👍 Thanks again, Grady and crew! 😁

Always a good job explaining the build and reality of the vehicle your client is receiving. Do you add floor insulation and insulation between the rear windows/cabinets? From the video perspective it looks like there might be a gap of several inches between the cabinet back and the window.

While Im not the person this question was directed to I am an ASE certified master mechanic with 1/3 of his life in the industry. I feel that entirely too much concern is given to mileage, and nowhere near enough concern is placed on driving habits and routine maintenance. Every vehicle Ive ever owned except one has had 200,000 miles or more. One had over 635,000 miles and it never let me down but then again I had realistic expectations and maintenance rituals. I dont fear a high mileage vehicle but an abused vehicle can be an absolute nightmare. Poorly repaired wrecks that cant be aligned wear tires out and cause a lot of other issues that are horrible to deal with as well. I trust this drivetrain platform at least as much as any other out there and for a long time Every vehicle I owned had the same drivetrain because that is how much I trust it. Being so common means parts are available everywhere. Not just the US either, these have many parts in common with a variety of vehicles in many countries. That means cheap, easily-sourced parts are no problem. I plan on building my own version of this soon to live out of full time for a while (things in my life are going crazy right now and its just the most practical way I can see to fix it) I wouldnt have selected this vehicle platform if I didnt trust it. If I didnt select this vehicle I wouldnt have found this channel so my being here to answer this question is, in a way, a testament to how much I truly believe what it is I am typing.

For costs you can visit Grady’s site for approximate based upon age, mileage and build. He’s done (imho) a great job of finding a niche and business that satisfies a need. 👍
