I saw TAD open for Dinosaur Jr in the mid 90s. All I remember is they were really loud and Tad would yell "Smoke Pot!" between every song.

Bought this album in my home City of Liverpool UK, so many independent record dealers stocking amazing records, Probe Records especially. My original Lp had the sleeve that was eventually banned, it had the couple on the front, for the full story Google. Mudhoney was my band of choice for Sub Pop, but when 'Bleach' by Nirvana was issued, it gave my Mudhoney a companion, with Tad adding that extra pounding flavour. I was never into Grunge or its scene, but knew the music and understood it, I was there at the birth of Grunge, so I know about all the bands, I listened to most of the albums, enjoyed a lot of them, but Mudhoney, Tad & Nirvana's first album in the late 1980s, early 90s had a place on my Turntable/ cd player, more than the other groups. I saw Mudhoney live at the Liverpool Uni on their 'Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge' Tour, with 'Leatherface' supporting, for their 'Minx' album. Once Nirvana released 'Nevermind', and the commercial explosion happened around them, it lost its appeal, it became too diluted and accessible, great album, but over exposed, still can't play 'Nevermind'. I still play my Mudhoney, Tad, but with Nirvana I only play 'Bleach', it's a psychological thing with Nirvana, the masses made it too mainstream. At least Tad is the secret underdog, that growls mightiest within the Sub Pop kennel.

One of the most criminally overlooked albums of the Seattle music explosion (or "grunge" if you feel you need that label). Most casual fans can rhyme off Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Mudhoney and even Screaming Trees, but Tad is always forgotten - this album is awesome.

Such a great album. Has all the sounds of the grunge era - nirvana soundgarden, mudhoney, alice in chains, sonic youth - all of it mixed into one. I saw them live in Alberta in 1992, where they headlined a High River festival. i cant remember the name of the festival but I remember Tad. Took forever for them to set up and do the sound check, but once it started it sounded so heavy and awesome. The stage was loaded with Marshall amps.

I want bands like TAD to get credit for tuning between every song. Electronic pedal tuners. Before Tad, anyone who tried any of the material on this album or similar would be lost. When a band like Tad is in tune, the way this record has pressed into CD, quality ones and zeros… you can tell they can all hear what each other is doing without all that racket. Fucking put rock ‘n’ roll on rails yo. A whole new level of professionalism. All that DTuning turned out to be SuperTuning is a registered trademark of Pioneer quality underdash cassette decks.L LP

When I think of grunge I think of Tad they're heavy as Fuck but definitely have a gentle side too. It's not too pretty or anything tho it's just damn good.
